The DGN V7/V8 readers expose each element (level, symbology, geometry,
complex chains, text nodes, shared cells). DGNIMPORT / -DGNIMPORT convert a
model with the Standard mapping into a new drawing; IMPORT opens the
Import File window and routes PDF and DGN files to their importers.

TEXT and MTEXT objects are merged into one MTEXT (top-down or in
selection order, word-wrapped or one paragraph per object, with the
original pitch kept as line spacing) or each TEXT and MTEXT line becomes
an MTEXT of its own. The SEttings option opens the Combine Text settings
dialog; the settings persist as profile values and are exposed as the
TXT2MTXT* variables and the txt2mtxt_settings automation action.

Add a dockable Block Editor palette with selectable Parameters, Actions,
Parameter Sets and Constraints pages, reusing shared dock controls, icons
and ribbon-style hover bubbles.
Parameters, Actions, Parameter Sets and Block Properties Table are UI
catalogs only. Their entries remain disabled; this commit does not add
parameter placement, dynamic action behavior, parameter-set authoring or
block properties table functionality.
The Constraints page connects its geometric and dimensional entries to
existing ribbon commands. It reuses their implementations and adds no new
constraint behavior.
Keep the palette specific to BEDIT and retain its placement and selected
page across closing/reopening and Test Block. Opening, closing, switching
pages and clicking disabled entries preserve the document, undo history
and any running command.
Validation: 7 palette tests, 57 dock checks and 46 ribbon checks passed
(overlapping groups); rendered pages inspected and native debug build passed.
With dynamic UCS on (UCSDETECT 1, toggled with F6), a command's first
point picked on a planar face of a solid sets the UCS to that face for
the rest of the command, so 2D commands draw on the face (#1711). An
unsnapped first point lands on the face itself; a snapped point off the
face's plane belongs to other geometry and leaves the UCS alone. The
previous UCS comes back when the command ends. UCS commands themselves
are left out.

BATTMAN and ATTMAN open a manager for the attribute definitions of one
attributed block: block chips with reference counts and a pick button,
a table whose columns are chosen with chips, move up/down, remove, and
an edit card (Attribute / Text / Properties) for the selected row. Apply,
OK and Sync write the list back to the block definition and, when asked,
rebuild the existing references keeping values through tag renames;
each is one undo step. Live changes are taken back on Cancel. Automation
gains attman_dialog.

Import AutoCAD PGP aliases and support UCSFOLLOW workflows. The UCS
conflict keeps main's click-origin flow (axis preview, Enter accepts
the placed axes) and takes the PR's prompt and option keywords.
Selection cycling was reachable only from the status bar and Options.
SELECTIONCYCLING / SETVAR now read and set it: 0 off, 1 or 2 on (the
candidate list always shows).

Both commands gain a mOde option [Quick/Standard]. Quick (the default)
starts ready to pick, every object a cutting or boundary edge; Standard
starts by selecting those edges, Enter with none taking every object.
The choice is TRIMEXTENDMODE (1 Quick, 0 Standard), kept in the profile
and settable with SETVAR.

-BLOCK, -WBLOCK, -BEDIT, ATTSYNC, BASE and INSBASE follow the reference
prompts and messages; empty blocks; WBLOCK keeps object coordinates and
stores INSBASE; annotative and hyperlink data on the block record; block
preview images; remembered dialog choices; block aliases.

Preview the current unsaved block in a disposable drawing with independent history. Keep normal Draw tools available, append Close Test Block, and return to the original editor without saving. Guard persistence paths and handle refresh and parent-close lifecycle by stable document identity.
In the Block Editor, BVSTATE makes a new visibility state, makes one
current, renames or deletes one; BVHIDE and BVSHOW hide or show the
picked objects in the current state (BVSHOW shows every object of the
block while they are picked). The first use makes the block dynamic.
The states are stored as the format keeps them: a
BLOCKVISIBILITYPARAMETER in the block's ACAD_ENHANCEDBLOCK evaluation
graph with its visibility grip and the grip's two location expressions,
the round-trip purge preventer, AcDbDynamicBlockTrueName /
AcDbDynamicBlockGUID / AcDbBlockRepETag on the definition and element
tags on each of its objects. The definition shows its first state; a
reference given another state gets its own evaluated *U copy, tagged
AcDbBlockRepBTag and linked back through AcDbBlockRepresentation /
AcDbRepData, so it shows that state and the other references do not
change. Saving the block drops erased objects from the states.
Checked: a block authored this way reads back with its states and
reference link from DWG and DXF, and the ODA converter accepts the DWG.

SECTIONCULL keeps only what the selected section object (or the live
section of the space) shows: solids, surfaces and closed meshes are cut
to it with the same planes the live section uses, open meshes are
clipped face by face, and every other object wholly outside it is
erased. Objects across the boundary that cannot be cut stay whole. One
undo step.
The section's bounding planes are gathered once (section_planes) and
shared by the live section and the cull.

FBXEXPORT (also EXPORTFBX) saves every 3D mesh of the drawing (solids,
surfaces and meshes, at full display resolution) as a binary FBX 7.4
file for visualisation tools: one model per object with its geometry,
face normals and a material in its display colour. Axes stay Z-up and
the unit scale follows the drawing's insertion units.

MENUBAR 1 shows File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Tools, Draw,
Dimension, Modify, Parametric and Help menus above the ribbon; every
entry runs an existing command, and a test keeps each entry pointing at
a registered command. RIBBONCLOSE hides the ribbon and RIBBON brings it
back, so the menus can replace it. Both choices persist.
Also translates the "File" label, which every locale had left in
English.

COMMANDLINEOPACITY (20-100 percent, default 100) and a slider under
Options > Display make the floating command line's panels see-through,
so the drawing stays visible behind it. The input field stays opaque
for legibility. The value is an application setting that persists.

PUBLISH now runs what PRINTALL does: pick the layouts, each plotted with
its own page setup, into one multi-page PDF or to the printer.

A layout opened for the first time - one whose sheet viewport had to be
made, or one created in this session - gets a viewport centred on the
printable area, 0.8 of its width and height, zoomed to the model's
extents, while LAYOUTCREATEVIEWPORT is on. The profile variable takes
ON/OFF or 1/0 and is kept with the settings.

The button runs QNEW since #1635, and QNEW was missing from the
commands the Start screen allows, so it was refused until a drawing
was open.

Resolve conflicts from main's rustfmt pass by taking main's versions of
command.rs, style.rs, view/mod.rs, scene/mod.rs, ui/window/mod.rs and
ui/properties.rs and re-applying this branch's Graphic Attributes changes.
Add the Graphic Attributes strings to the new lo-LA catalog.

Allow users to temporarily override object snaps during active point prompts by typing at least the first 3 letters of any snap mode (e.g. MID, END, CEN, PER, NON). The override activates for the next point pick only and automatically restores running snaps once consumed or cancelled.
An orthographic preset sets its orthographic UCS while UCSORTHO is on
(*FRONT*, *RIGHT*, …; TOP returns to the world UCS); presets no longer
flip to the opposite view when repeated. -VIEW runs as its own command:
Window asks for the name and corners, sEttings loops over Background,
Categorize, Layer snapshot, live Section, Ucs and Visual style with the
reference prompts and messages, Save keeps the UCS with the view while
UCSVIEW is on and Restore brings it back. UCSORTHO and UCSVIEW are
profile variables.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
-VIEW asks "Enter an option [?/Delete/Orthographic/Restore/Save/sEttings/
Window]:" and takes the orthographic and isometric presets (TOP, BOTTOM,
FRONT, BACK, LEFT, RIGHT, SWISO, SEISO, NEISO, NWISO, also with a leading
underscore) directly, Orthographic asking for the face with <Top> as the
default. Keyword prompts accept a leading underscore on their keywords.

Swept surfaces made with SURFACEASSOCIATIVITY on keep their profile and
path and are written as a swept-surface action of the drawing's
associative network, reading the profile and path and their scale and
twist expressions. They follow edits of their sources.

Conflicts were additions on both sides, kept together: the Count palette
and Sheet Set toggles next to the Graphic Attributes toggle in the ribbon,
main's new locale groups and catalog entries next to graphic-attributes,
and module declarations. The palette code follows main's crate renames
(acadrust -> codec, cadkernel -> kernel).

SelectionState now holds view, gesture, input, menu and orbit sub-structs; all 450 access sites updated mechanically with no behavior change. Deletes three write-only dead fields (box_last, box_last_crossing, poly_last_crossing). Hand-rolled clears in commands and dim_viewport route through the new clear methods; bench fixture updated. Full suite: 1976 passed / 0 failed / 25 ignored.
- UPDATEFIELD stays the command main already had (Select objects, undo,
locale strings); it now takes the PR's reach — a block reference's
attributes and block definition, a table's cell texts — and reports
the fields that really changed. The PR's second implementation and its
duplicate registration are gone.
- FIELDEVAL's range error goes through the locale catalog.
- Field boxes: no slicing inside a character, one layout per multi-line
attribute, and TEXT boxes scale about the annotative reference point
like the glyphs do. Comment and indentation put back where they belong.
- bump_text_hosts classifies every host in one pass over the drawing
instead of scanning all layouts and blocks per host.

- Text styles keep their TrueType typeface through save and reopen (codec
reads and writes the STYLE record's ACAD extended data) (#1633)
- Unnamed shape-file entries no longer show in text style lists (#1634)
- Save As offers DWT 2018; NEW asks for the template to start from, while
Ctrl+N and the quick-access New run QNEW with the default template (#1635)
- An edge next to an earlier fillet of the same radius rounds together with
it (kernel); the solid stays drawn and pickable while edges are chosen
(#1625, #1107)
- A full cache rebuild drops the B-rep cache too, so an undone fillet does
not come back with the next edge operation (#1107)
- Selected solids in shaded styles highlight only their visible edges (#1031)
- VIEW ISO / SWISO / SEISO / NEISO / NWISO snap to the isometric corners

Fixes:
- Font prompt no longer lists bundled ltypeshp/qcadshp shape files (#1626)
- Wide polylines step at a discontinuous segment width; PEDIT marks the
current vertex; keyword steps refresh the command preview (#1628)
- Radius-0 fillet drops the zero-length segment it left, so the corner
fillets again (#1422)
- FILLET Trim / No trim option (#1558)
- True-colour wires plot in their own colour; colour picker stores the
value it shows (#1621)
- Model tab keeps its page setup; "Save changes to layout" in Model (#1620)
- QNEW default template in Options > Files; .dwt in the open dialog
(#1134, #1113)
- GRIDUNIT / GRIDMODE / PERSPECTIVE variables (#1618, #1524)
- PTYPE (#1433)
- ZOOM nX / nXP (#1465)
- CHSPACE between model and paper space through a viewport (#1428)
- Moving a dimension keeps its automatic text placement
- Shell icon; "&&" button labels (#1554)
- LINETYPE Load from a .lin file (#1588)
- XLINE / RAY hide the crosshair arms (#1437)
- Dynamic-input boxes keep clear of the crosshair and each other (#1546)
- Snap marker colour setting, dark default on light canvases
(#1497, #1229, #1128)
- Dimension style precision as a 0.00 pattern dropdown (#1426)
- Node graph nodes left of the origin no longer clip away (#1592)
- Collapse button in the command history header (#1094)
- Freeze-in-current-viewport toggle in the ribbon layer list (#1466)
- Geometric Center object snap for closed polylines (#1369)
New strings translated in all 21 locales.

MTEXT draws its stored text instead of re-evaluating fields on every
redraw. Fields update on their evaluation events as the reference does:
open (1), save (2, not autosave), plot (4) and REGEN/REGENALL (16), each
masked with the drawing's FIELDEVAL (variable dictionary, 0-31, with the
reference's prompt and message), and the new UPDATEFIELD command
(selection, attributes of selected block references, "N field(s)
found." / "N field(s) updated."). A Date field (on demand only) keeps
its value until UPDATEFIELD. The FIELDDISPLAY gray box now covers each
field's own glyphs, one box per line it spans, instead of the whole
text. Codec moved to the update_fields / field_spans revision.
