Resolve entities' XDATA class-identity keys through the live plugin manager
(new `src/plugin/entity_labels.rs`) and qualify display types as
"<Label> (<Native>)" wherever the bare native type is shown today.
- The single-entity Properties panel title (and the node graph, which shares
the same computation) becomes e.g. "Linear Element (Line)". Host-owned
classifications (xref, dynamic constraints, underlays, surfaces) keep the
native parenthesized part, so nothing they tell the user is lost.
- The records API's `entities` collection: `display_type` carries the
qualified label; the raw `type` / `record_type` fields stay native so
existing scripts, type filters, and by-type grouping keep working.
- The automation entity summary gains a `display_type` field with the same
semantics; `type` stays raw. Exposed by `query`, `user_select` sessions,
and `get_selection`.
Semantics: the identity (a stable class KEY like "CVIFC-CLASS:LINE") lives
in the entity's XDATA and round-trips the drawing; the display LABELS live
in the declaring plugin's manifest. Keys only — no display text is ever
written to the file, and the label never governs behavior (display-only: it
does not affect snapping, selection, filtering, or grouping). Gating rides
live manager state at query time, so without a loaded declaring plugin every
surface here is byte-identical to today, immediately after any reopen, with
no re-assert pass. The command-line LIST output deliberately stays on the raw
dxf name. An app id claimed by more than one loaded plugin resolves through
the first-loaded declaration and debug-logs the ignored duplicate; a
prefix-only value, an unknown key, or an empty label mapping fall back to
the native type.
Tests: resolver core (known key, foreign app ignored, record without an
identity value ignored, prefix-only / unknown key / empty label fallback,
duplicate app id first-wins), the empty-manager gating end-to-end through
`with_manager`, the "<Label> (<Native>)" form, and the byte-identical
fallbacks asserted at the panel, records, and query layers for entities
stamped with a perfect identity record.
Plugins can now declare the entity classes they identify via XDATA, and the
host resolves them to display-only type labels while the declaring plugin is
loaded.
- Append `BuiltinPlugin::entity_classes()` (a guarded trailing vtable slot,
the same additive pattern as `on_load` in v5) returning a &'static
`EntityClasses { app_id, class_prefix, labels }`. The static
`PluginManifest` struct is deliberately untouched: older cdylibs share it
by pointer and its layout is frozen ABI since v1, so adding a field would
read past their allocation.
- `OwnedEntityClasses` travels on the registered manifest as
`OwnedPluginManifest.entity_classes` with `#[serde(default)]`, so manifests
serialized before the field keep decoding (older runners tolerate it
both ways).
- The runner folds the declaration into the GetManifest registration only
when the loaded cdylib's exported `ocs_plugin_api_version` symbol reports
>= 10 — an older binary's vtable predates the slot, so it is never called;
its entities simply keep their native type names.
- `PluginManager::entity_class_declarations` exposes the live set, filtered
to alive, non-disabled plugins in load order. The registered manifests are
the only source and nothing is cached: not installed, disabled,
cap-excluded (`OCS_PLUGIN_MAX_API_VERSION`), failed at load, removed, or a
dead process all contribute nothing.
- Embedded version info `api_version` follows the bump to 10;
`API_VERSION_MIN_SUPPORTED` stays 3.
Tests: runner fold (v10 folds, pre-v10 skipped, `entity_classes()` panic is
contained and reported), manager filtering (disabled / dead / undeclaring
skipped; declarations disappear once the process dies — verified with a real
killed child), bincode registration round-trip, and older-manifest serde
default.
Detect the desktop's configured interface font and use its family for all
application UI text, instead of iced's generic sans-serif.
- sys::ui_font reads the setting per platform: GNOME/Cinnamon/MATE
gsettings, KDE kdeglobals, Xfce xfconf, the XDG Settings portal, GTK
settings.ini and a Fontconfig fallback on Linux; the non-client message
font (SystemParametersInfoForDpi at 96 DPI) on Windows; the AppKit system
font on macOS.
- ui_font::apply remaps generic sans-serif in iced's shared font database
to that family. iced's Font::DEFAULT is sans-serif, so every widget,
canvas text, bold/italic variant and ribbon measurement follows it with
no call-site changes. A family that is not installed (or a generic alias)
keeps iced's own choice. The font's weight and style are ignored.
- Live updates: portal SettingChanged on Linux, a 2 s poll on Windows. A
change bumps the font-system version so laid-out text reshapes, and
iced::font::set_defaults relays out every window; ribbon large-button
widths re-measure. Without a portal, Linux needs a restart; macOS has no
user-adjustable UI font.
- Monospaced text, drawing text (own cosmic-text font systems) and the web
build's font loading are unchanged.

The dimension style, multileader style and Properties pickers listed
every block of the drawing as an arrowhead, and nothing else. They now
list the 19 standard arrowheads (Closed filled, Open, Dot, Architectural
tick, Oblique, Right angle, Datum triangle, …), followed by any user
arrow block the dimension or style already uses. Picking one creates
its block (`_Open`, `_ArchTick`, …) with the geometry the reference
program writes, so other programs draw the same arrow; ODA reads the
saved file cleanly.
`_Small` now draws as the reference's "Dot small blank", a hollow circle
half the arrow size, instead of a small filled triangle.
Also drops a duplicated "DGN Import" catalog entry left by #1810/#1812.

iced_aw's DropDown keeps its list on screen by testing it against the
viewport's width and height only, as if the viewport started at the
window corner. Inside a scrollable the viewport is the visible area in
window coordinates, so a field in a dock pallet saw its list overflow
and the list jumped left by its own width (or up over the field); the
Properties Transparency dropdown showed it. Hand the drop-down a
viewport reaching from the corner to the visible area's far edges.

Refuse LAYOUT, VPORTS, MVIEW, WBLOCK, PURGE, RENAME, REFEDIT,
REFEDIT_BEGIN and PLOT from the command line while a block editor
session is open, matching the reference product's
"<CMD> command not allowed in block editor" behaviour (spec section 8,
based on the V7 hands-on check). XREF, NEW, OPEN and SAVEAS stay
allowed. The service-level RENAME guard stays as defense in depth.
The name field shared the 160 px sidebar row with Save and the close
button, so it was squeezed until no text showed. It now takes the full
width with the buttons below it, and the close button is the SVG icon
instead of a "×" glyph. (#1817)

At this iced revision the layer under an overlay that wants the pointer
gets an unavailable cursor, not a levitating one, so hover_zone still
read a pointer on an open linetype list as leaving the edge. Keep the
last state on an unavailable cursor and exit only on a position outside
the bounds or the pointer leaving the window. A test drives a real open
dropdown through iced's UserInterface for both mouse_area and the zone.

- `SelectObjectsCommand::with_settings` exists once: #1811 and #1814
each added one; PDFSHXTEXT now passes its settings step as the
callback #1811's takes.
- The `pdf-shx` locale group in every language (English until
translated), so the catalog test passes.
- MCP tool schema digest for the `pdf_shx_settings` action.

iced gives the layer under an overlay a levitating cursor, so the dock
edge's mouse_area read the pointer on any dropdown or combo list in a
pallet as leaving, and auto-hide collapsed the panel mid-pick. Track
enter/leave with a small hover_zone wrapper that lands the cursor before
its bounds test, on docked edges and floating pallets alike.

iced_test renders headless through wgpu by default. Several test threads
opening GPU devices at once crashed the driver: about every other
parallel `cargo test --lib` run died with SIGSEGV, always with the
color picker, ribbon, overlay and dock UI tests running together. With
ICED_TEST_BACKEND=tiny-skia the suite passes run after run.

The Layer Manager's colour dropdown draws as an overlay, which the
docked edge's mouse area reads as the pointer leaving. The auto-hide
timer then collapsed the panel and the dropdown with it, so no colour
could be picked. Defer the hide while a pallet colour dropdown or the
Select Color window is open.

A solid's edges and silhouettes were drawn in its face colour, and the
edge shader read that from the material instead of the edge vertices.
Colour 7 is white, so in Wireframe 2D a solid vanished white-on-white in
a layout viewport (and on a light model background), while wires and
block solids already turned black there. Solids now keep a separate
edge colour, colour 7 turned against the background they are drawn on,
and the edge shader uses the edge vertices' colour again, which also
brings back visual-style edge colours. Shaded faces keep their colour
so they still read as lit. (#1446)

Saving `starttekening.dwg` unchanged lost 275 associative objects: the
constraint network rebuilt before saving cannot write a dimensional
constraint that drives a dynamic block's constraint parameter instead of
a dimension, nor separate dependencies on single edges of one polyline.
The block parameters ended up pointing at erased objects. A group with
either link is now kept as read, through the existing preserved-group
path; ODA counts the same 1948 associative proxies before and after.

Enable the existing palette rows and BPARAMETER choices. Rotation accepts a
center, picked or numeric radius, and picked or numeric default angle.
Alignment places a tangent direction from its base point. Flip places a
reflection line and state label, with native grip and state expressions.
Extend shared graph append/capacity checks for Flip's additional state node
while preserving existing subgraphs. Keep Polar/Rotation angle labels unique
in either placement order. Add editor graphics, extents and definition
reframing through the existing overlay/history/save paths.
This milestone implements native parameter placement and persistence.
Rotate/Flip action association, reference alignment/grip editing, parameter
property editing and parameter sets remain separate work.
Validation covers command and palette placement, cancellation, local/parent
undo, save/discard, native DWG/DXF objects, existing graph preservation and
the 17 research fixtures. Broader block/dock regressions and editor renders
are also checked.
Enable the three existing palette rows and BPARAMETER choices. Pick a base,
endpoint and label location to create the appropriate native parameter, one
end grip and its location expressions in the shared authoring graph.
Render editor dimensions and labels, preserve them when reframing the block,
and include them in editor extents. Reuse local undo/redo, save/discard and
native DWG/DXF persistence. Reject incomplete or invalid placement without
changing document data or history.
This milestone implements parameter placement. Action association/evaluation,
parameter property editing, alternate grip counts and parameter sets remain
separate work.
Validation: focused placement and palette interaction checks; Block Editor and
dock regressions; native append and DWG/DXF round trips in all 17 research
fixtures, preserving existing graph data and source files; app-view renders.
Enable Point in Authoring Palettes and BPARAMETER. Pick parameter and label
positions, then create the native Point, XY grip and position expressions in
one undo transaction. Draw editor-only markers and clear placement previews.
Share graph append construction with Visibility so both types coexist in
either order. Allocate node, expression and edge IDs independently; preserve
existing objects, nodes and relationships and reject malformed/opaque graphs.
Reframe parameter, label and grip with the edited definition. Include authoring
positions in editor framing while keeping reference geometry extents unchanged.
Retain save/discard and parent saved-edit undo. Action association/evaluation
and parameter property editing remain separate milestones.
Validation: 10 targeted, 286 block and 60 dock checks passed (overlapping
filters). Appending a Point to an existing native graph passed DWG/DXF
roundtrips in all 17 local fixtures; old objects and original checksums stayed
unchanged. Real-view palette interaction and rendered marker/label verified.
Add the current-state selector, Visibility States dialog and mode/show/hide
controls to the contextual ribbon, using shared icons, tooltips, modal UI
and adaptive flyouts. Disable the controls until a Visibility parameter exists.
Stage state creation, rename, deletion, current-state changes and reordering
until OK. Support copied, show-all and hide-all new states in one undo step,
preserve native graph metadata, and restore current-state identity on undo/redo.
Implement nonsaved BVMODE and display-only reveal during BVSHOW selection.
Cancelling selection leaves saved visibility flags and history unchanged.
Keep the existing command-line state workflows available.
Validation: 6 targeted tests; 277 block, 31 app dock, 35 ribbon and 12 history
checks passed (overlapping filters). All 17 local DWG fixtures passed in-memory
DWG/DXF preservation checks with unchanged original checksums.
Milestone 1: enable Parameters > Visibility and add interactive
BPARAMETER VISIBILITY placement using the existing native visibility
parameter, grip and state engine. Bare BPARAMETER currently offers only
Visibility; other parameter, action and set entries remain unavailable.
Show the placed parameter in the editor and support cancel, local undo/
redo, save/discard and saved-edit undo. Bind placement to its document
and definition, reject duplicates and invalid points, and protect existing
authoring graphs from replacement.
Keep visibility parameters and their grips aligned with geometry when a
BEDIT UCS change reframes the definition, including parameter-only blocks.
Validation: 9 targeted tests, 272 block checks and 58 dock checks passed
(overlapping groups). All 17 local DWG fixtures passed in-memory DWG/DXF
placement roundtrips and graph-preservation checks; originals unchanged.
#1811 and #1812 add the `txt2mtxt_settings`, `import_file_dialog` and
`dgn_import_dialog` automation actions.

The viewport hides the system cursor for its crosshair, and the progress

A radius placed its text where it was clicked, on the line through the
centre and the arc point, whatever DIMTAD said; outside the circle the
line stopped at the text's near edge, so the text sat on the end of the
line. DIMTAD now lifts aligned radius text off that line as it already
does on a diameter, and an outside line runs on under the text to its far
end. A text point already off the line (a file saved elsewhere) is kept
as the text's middle. (#1675)

A left drag only became a lasso/window after the button had been held
150 ms, however far the cursor had moved. A fast flick released inside
that delay read as a click and armed a click-click box instead. A press
that has moved more than 12 px is now a drag at once; the delay still
keeps small movements of a click from becoming one. (#1808)

A request settles once the work it started reports back, and waits for
any open or save in progress. When that never happens the bridge stayed

request as cancelled, not only interactive picks. (#1801)

The paste adds entities to the document directly, so the fill and raster

PDFIMPORT follows FILEDIA and -PDFIMPORT asks for the file, page,
insertion point, scale and rotation on the command line. A page with a
viewport measure is imported in its measured units. Straight polylines
that trace arcs, circles and ellipses, and runs of circular Bezier arcs
on one circle, become those objects; other Bezier curves become one
SPLINE each.

Add a dockable Block Editor palette with selectable Parameters, Actions,
Parameter Sets and Constraints pages, reusing shared dock controls, icons
and ribbon-style hover bubbles.
Parameters, Actions, Parameter Sets and Block Properties Table are UI
catalogs only. Their entries remain disabled; this commit does not add
parameter placement, dynamic action behavior, parameter-set authoring or
block properties table functionality.
The Constraints page connects its geometric and dimensional entries to
existing ribbon commands. It reuses their implementations and adds no new
constraint behavior.
Keep the palette specific to BEDIT and retain its placement and selected
page across closing/reopening and Test Block. Opening, closing, switching
pages and clicking disabled entries preserve the document, undo history
and any running command.
Validation: 7 palette tests, 57 dock checks and 46 ribbon checks passed
(overlapping groups); rendered pages inspected and native debug build passed.
The codec now decodes version-0 (2010 release) constraint groups, so the
parametric constraints of such drawings load and their dynamic
dimensions show (#992). Constraint groups also keep their next node id.

MEASUREGEOM gains a Quick option. As the cursor moves, the nearest
drawn geometry along the working plane's X and Y lines through it is
measured live: cyan measurement lines and a Horizontal/Vertical readout
by the cursor. A click prints the current readout and keeps measuring;
Enter ends the command. The rays go through the scene's interaction
index, so large drawings stay responsive.
A structure-pick command whose miss message is empty now gets the click
as a plain point instead of an error.

Every plotted wire and hatch resolves to its entity's layer, and the PDF
wraps each run of same-layer items in an optional-content group, so a
viewer's layer panel lists the drawing's layers and can hide them. Draw
order is unchanged; images stay outside any group. Expanded block
geometry goes with its INSERT's layer.
