- Emit transformed analytical curves (circles, arcs, ellipses) in block
expansion as standalone wires rather than merging them into batched line
strips.
- Keep render_instance unset on analytical curves in block prototypes so
they route directly to CircleGpu / EllipseGpu instead of BlockWireGpu.
- Support TangentGeom::Circle in extract_circle_instance and wire partitioning.
- Drop analytical tangents on wires clipped by xclip so clipped geometry
falls back correctly to line segments.
- Add unit test verifying block circles and arcs extract as analytical GPU
instances.
Switching to a Layout re-tessellated the whole model — `memo_miss=186455`,
2034 ms — to arrive at geometry identical to what was already in the memo.
The only thing that differed was colour.
`local_wires_for` already knows this: it stores the raw colour and drops
its background argument with `let _ = bg_color;`, noting that
`Batches::finalize` applies `adapt_to_bg` last, "so the cache no longer
has to rebuild on BACKGROUND / layout-switch". The tessellation memo's
guard had not been told, and still mixed the background in, so every
entry was discarded on a switch.
`finalize` now records what its colour resolution consumed — the raw
colour, the raw glyph colours, and the three flags it branches on — as
`WireModel::bg_adapt`, and `resolve_colors_for_bg` replays it for another
background. The guard drops the background, so a memo entry serves any
layout.
The resolution recomputes from the recorded raw colour rather than from
the resolved one, which makes it idempotent and therefore safe over a set
that mixes memo hits with freshly tessellated misses. Re-adapting the
resolved colour would not be safe: `adapt_to_bg` snaps a near-white colour
to pure black on a light background, and pure black comes back pure
*white* on a dark one, losing the tint. A test pins that asymmetry so the
raw colour is not optimised away later.
The contract is tested against the real `finalize` rather than a copy of
its logic: for every background pair, building under one and resolving for
the other lands exactly where building under the other would have.
`bg_adapt` is `None` for wires built anywhere else, and the resolution
skips them, so nothing outside the block cache changes colour. It is also
`None` when the resolution would be a no-op — a preserved colour with no
canvas fill looks the same under every background — which keeps the common
case at no cost.
Ordering is unchanged: the pass runs inside the builder, before
`append_scene_markers` and `apply_refedit_fade`, both of which have their
own separate background dependency.
`wires-build` gains `colors=` so the pass has a number of its own.

Resolve ByBlock alpha independently from color and keep explicit opaque values from falling back to layer transparency.
Pin the matching cadcodec API across desktop, plugin, and web targets.

Enable in-place editing of inherited properties in the Properties panel:
- Transparency: Switch to PropValue::EditChoice with ByLayer and ByBlock presets to allow direct typing of any numeric percentage value (0..90%) without combo_box autocomplete interference.
- Select-all-on-click: Integrate EditChoice text inputs into build_field_key_map with dedicated widget IDs, preserving click-to-select-all across editable fields.
- Material: Provide bounded preset choices (ByLayer, ByBlock, Global, and active custom material) to avoid scanning large drawing dictionaries.
- Plot style: Implement mode-aware behavior with interactive Choice in STB mode and ReadOnlyWithTooltip in CTB mode.
- Read-only tooltips: Introduce PropValue::ReadOnlyWithTooltip to provide contextual explanations for locked fields while preserving mouse text selection and clipboard copying.
- Dropdown alignment & unified borders: Fix EditChoice internal input/caret background clipping so the container's 1px neutral/active border surrounds the entire control identically to Lineweight and text inputs.
- Document defaults & aggregation: Synchronize document header defaults when editing with No selection, and aggregate heterogeneous multi-selections (*VARIES*).
Share source buffers across block placements and render nested content with GPU instance transforms.\n\nChunk silhouettes and compact mesh material data so large drawings stay under device buffer limits and remain responsive.
Route model, paper, viewport and nested block content through one traversal while preserving leaf renderers. Carry decoded material state into mesh shading and harden solid geometry conversion.
- Keep the floating panel near the selection and inside the viewport
- Persist the toggle and hide the panel without a selection
- Show only Material in 3D Visualization
Selecting a proxy object we render from its cached graphics (an AEC
Wall/Door/Window and the like) showed "Unknown" as its type. The entity
now carries its real DXF class name from the CLASSES section (acadrust
bump), so surface it: ui_name_or_class title-cases the class ("AEC_WALL"
→ "Aec Wall") for the properties Type row and the status-bar label, and
still says "Unknown" only when the class truly can't be named.

Two rendering defects surfaced on the budweiser benchmark drawings, both
tied to a drawing's annotation scale.
Annotative scale representations. A drawing may materialise each annotation
scale as its own object (here a block insert per scale, on a "0 @ <scale>"
layer, each carrying a per-object AcDbContextData bound to one scale).
Nothing filtered them, so every scale drew at once — a 1× copy stacked
under a 10× one. Add annotative::annotative_offscale and apply it in the
three paths that expand block content: the wire block-defn cache, the
resident/top-level visibility gate (model space only — paper viewports use
their per-viewport frozen scale layers), and the exploded-insert hatch/fill
walk (filtered before normalize strips the handle). An object is shown when
a representation matches the current scale; the off-scale ones are hidden.
When the current scale is unsupported by any representation, fall back to
the base "1:1" copy instead of hiding everything (the object must not
vanish) or showing everything (the copies must not stack).
Model-space linetype scale. PSLTSCALE (a paper-space flag) was applied to
model-space linetypes via the annotation scale, so a drawing saved at e.g.
CANNOSCALE 10:1 drew its linetypes 10× off. Thread a `paper_space` flag
through tessellate_entity and gate the PSLTSCALE factor on it, so it only
scales linetypes for content shown inside a paper-space viewport; model
space keeps LTSCALE × CELTSCALE.

A dimension bakes its geometry into a per-instance *D block, offset into
the owning block by the dimension insertion_point. When that dimension
sits inside a block (INSERT → block → Dimension → *D), only its top-level
form drew; nested it rendered nothing, and once the lines/text/arrow
outlines were routed through the block cache the arrowhead FILLS were
still missing:
- 2D SOLID arrowheads: block_cache's Dimension arm now expands the *D
block, translating each sub by insertion_point (WCS → block-local) and
routing Insert subs through build_nested_ref, others through
tessellate_sub_local (which emits the solid fill_tris).
- Insert(hatch) arrowheads (custom arrow blocks = LwPolyline + Hatch):
the hatch renders via the separate GPU explosion path, which only
descends INSERT→INSERT→Hatch trees and so never reached a hatch behind
a Dimension. block_has_hatch now recurses through a Dimension into its
*D block, and the fill explosion's new explode_including_dims lifts
each dimension child's *D content into the owning block's frame
(translate insertion_point, then apply the insert transform) so its
arrow inserts / hatches ride the normal walk.
Table *T baked blocks get the mirror treatment in block_cache.
