Claude 258762f992 Dock: auto-hide per edge, hover only flies out when auto-hiding, menu per edge
- Auto-hide is a setting of the left / right edge rather than of each
pallet: the pin on any docked pallet turns it on for its whole edge,
which then shows only its icon strip until an icon is hovered. A
floating pallet keeps its own auto-hide.
- Hovering the strip icons only shows a group while the edge auto-hides;
  otherwise groups switch on click.
- The + menu checks only the pallets open on that edge. Picking one that
  is open elsewhere (the other edge, floating) moves it to this edge;
unchecking a checked one hides it.

Claude 47c2e2f2fe Dock: one group per edge at a time, pallets stacked within a group
A group is now a set of pallets shown together, stacked top to bottom,
and an edge shows one group at a time. The icon strip lists every group
(grip bar over its pallets' icons, the shown group on a grey
background); clicking any icon of a group shows that whole group.

- Dropping a pallet on the top / bottom half of a pallet in the shown
group stacks it above / below; dropping on the strip's icons places it
in that group at that spot, and on a grip or below the last group
starts a new group (which is then shown).
- Splitters set the heights of the pallets within a group; double-click
  makes them equal again.
- Each group keeps its own width; the divider sizes only the group it
belongs to, and switching groups switches width.
- A group whose pallets all auto-hide shows only while hovered.
- Layouts saved by older builds load with their stacked pallets as one
  group.

The polyline round a region is written about the region's normal in its
object coordinates with an identity transform, as the reference writes
it; a rebuild from the history placed a polyline given in plane
coordinates with a frame at the wrong place once the region moved. Arcs
of one circle making a whole turn are recorded as that circle.

Claude f038fcc9a1 Dock: Photoshop-style vertical icon strip for docked groups
Each dock edge now has a vertical icon strip along the window edge in
place of the horizontal tab row and the auto-hide rail.

- Every shown group gets a grip bar with its pallets' icons below it;
the shown pallet's icon has a grey background. Clicking an icon shows
that pallet in its group; hovering the icons of an auto-hiding group
  opens it.
- Dragging an icon within the strip reorders it or moves it into
another group; dropping it on a grip or below the last group makes it
a new group there. On the pallet area, the top / bottom bands still
start a new group above / below and the middle joins the group.
- Dragging a grip moves the whole group to another position or edge.
- A + button under the groups opens the pallet menu (icon, name, check
mark). Opening a pallet from it docks it on that edge as a new group,
or in its existing group there; a checked pallet is hidden.
- Groups keep their width when moved; the divider against the viewport
  sizes the whole edge column.

ramox81andClaude Opus 5.5 c227de26c5 Record a region profile as its boundary curve and step
A swept, extruded or revolved surface made from a region records the
region as the curve round it, as the reference does: a lone circle or
whole ellipse as itself, a loop of lines and arcs as a closed polyline in
the region's plane. A region recorded as a region made the reference
refuse to open the drawing (modeling error 58000).

A region read by an associative action carries the step its edge names
belong to (ACAD_STEPID), so the reference finds the edges again and the
surface follows the region.

Claude 1176789125 Dock: tab row only for tab groups, larger plain icon tabs, working menu
- The tab row shows only when at least two pallets share a slot.
- Tab icons are larger (18 px). The shown tab gets the grey background
without a border; other tabs have no background.
- The pallet menu was drawn by a dropdown that squeezed it to one icon
wide. It is now its own overlay hanging under the menu button, laid
out like the right-click menu: pallet icon, name, and a check mark on
the right for the pallets shown in this slot. Any click outside closes
  it.

The surface extrusion, the extrusion along a path, revolve history and

wire, which a region of several edges always has. They now refuse only a
region with holes, and a region's loops for a solid extrusion come from
its modeler edges.

Claude 09e4792a0a Dock: Layer Manager pallet, double-click to float / dock
- LAYERS opens the Layer Manager as a dockable pallet instead of a modal
dialog with a darkened backdrop. It floats over the middle of the
drawing the first time and keeps its place after that; LAYERS again
(or its close button) hides it. The table keeps its natural width and
scrolls sideways when the pallet is narrower, and the Name column
divider now drags through the dock's pointer capture. Ctrl+A selects
all layers while a layer row is selected in the open pallet.
- The Layer Manager is listed in the tab-row pallet menu like the others.
- Double-clicking a docked title bar floats the panel beside its edge;
double-clicking a floating title bar docks the panel on the side its
  title bar faces.

A region keeps one display wire per edge, so a region of several edges
gave no polygon and could not be extruded (solid or surface), and a
circle region was extruded from its display polygon. Profiles of a region
with one boundary loop now come from the region's modeler edges.

Claude 1f3fae6d1e Dock: icon tabs with a pallet menu, wider stacking zones
- Dropping on a docked pallet now stacks it above or below over the top
and bottom 35 % of the slot; only the middle 30 % makes it a tab.
- Tabs show the pallet icon (title as tooltip), aligned to the left.
Every docked slot has the tab row, so its menu is always reachable.
- A menu button at the right of the tab row lists every pallet with a
check mark for those shown in this slot. Checking one opens it as a
tab here (moving it from wherever it was docked); unchecking hides it
and keeps its tab for next time.

reads the region through one geometry dependency per edge, each naming

subentity manager, so the surface follows the region. A lofted surface

Claude 2b2581eb46 Dock: reorder tabs by dragging, one width per tab group, plain rail hover
- Dragging a tab along its slot's tab strip moves it to the gap under the
pointer; the drop preview shows the new tab order. A panel dragged from
elsewhere onto a tab strip lands at that position too. A drop in the
middle of the slot still appends a newcomer and leaves a member where
  it is.
- All tabs of a slot share one width: a joining panel takes the slot's
width, resizing or resetting one tab sizes them all, and slots sized
apart by older configs render at their widest tab. Switching tabs no
  longer changes the column width.
- Hovering an auto-hide rail raises its slot without turning the rail
  blue.

Claude 1de5597216 Dock: hover-only title buttons, tilted pin, mirrored float grip
- Docked title bars show the pin and close only while the pointer is
over the bar; the bar keeps a fixed height so nothing jumps.
- Auto-hide on is drawn as a 30° tilted pin (new pin_active.svg)
instead of a coloured button background, on docked and floating bars.
- A floating panel's resize grip sits in the bottom corner away from its
title bar. With the bar on the right it is bottom-left (new mirrored
resize_left.svg) and resizing from there keeps the right edge fixed.
The bar stays on its side while resizing.
- While a floating panel is dragged, only the drop preview shows it; the
panel no longer stays drawn at its old place.

ramox81andClaude Opus 5 eefbcc4860 Dimensions: place the picture block where the dimension says
A dimension carries its graphics in a block of its own, drawn in that
block's frame, and the entity records where the frame sits. The renderer
inserted it at the origin instead, so every dimension whose file carries a
non-zero insertion point drew far from the geometry it measures — the whole
picture offset by that point. Dimensions inside block definitions are where
this shows: a drawing of plan blocks scattered their dimension graphics
thousands of units away, over empty sheet.

The picture now follows the dimension's insertion point, rotation, scale and
extrusion, the way any block reference is placed.

Claude 03763ff197 Dock: flush title bars and a vertical title bar for floating panels
Every docked panel now shows its title bar flush along the top, like the
Properties panel: dock::frame takes the title bar separately and pads
only the content below it.

A floating panel drops its horizontal title bar for a vertical one on
the side facing the nearer workspace edge. Close and the auto-hide pin
sit at the top; the panel's icon sits at the bottom with the title
reading upward above it. The free part of the bar drags the panel. With
auto-hide on, a floating panel shrinks to its title bar until hovered.

Panel views take a dock::Chrome (auto-collapse plus floating) in place
of the bare auto-collapse flag, so the shared title bar knows when to
step aside.

ramox81andClaude Opus 5 698ec122ba Block wires: pack definitions into shared buffers
A drawing whose plan content is built from blocks reaches thousands of
definitions, and each one took a buffer of its own for its segments and
another for its constants, plus one per placement run. The payloads are a
few hundred bytes, but every allocation costs a page: 14k definitions ask a
device for 1.8 GB to hold 12 MB of geometry. D3D12 runs out, the failed
allocations stay invalid, every later frame writes to them, and the session
dies in the staging belt.

The definitions of a build now share one arena: constants in a single
uniform buffer addressed by dynamic offset, segments in a single geometry
buffer addressed by first_vertex, placements in a single instance buffer
addressed by first_instance, with another arena started whenever one of the
three would outgrow the per-buffer budget. The cache holds the records
rather than the buffers, so a build the device rejected poisons nothing.

ramox81andClaude Opus 5.5 27bf35fc96 Associative extruded, revolved and lofted surfaces; spline and ellipse sources
SURFACEASSOCIATIVITY now keeps EXTRUDE, REVOLVE and LOFT surfaces linked to
their sources: the profile (and axis object) or cross sections are kept, the
surface is made again when they change, and the drawing's associative
network carries an action with the extruded, revolved or lofted surface
action body, its path parameters and value parameters as the reference
writes them. Swept, extruded, revolved and lofted surfaces can read
splines (NURBS edge curve, fit-point splines through their fit points)
and ellipses (elliptical edge curve). Associative surfaces of a file
opened here follow their sources too.

Claude 76883695c3 Dock: floating panels, tab groups and adjustable slot heights
Panels can now float over the workspace, share a docked slot as tabs,
and split an edge at heights the user picks.

- Dropping a panel away from the edges floats it at the pointer. Floating
panels move by their title bar, resize from a corner grip, and come to
  the front when clicked.
- Dropping in the top or bottom quarter of a docked slot docks the panel
above or below it, as before. Dropping in the middle adds the panel as
a tab of that slot. Pressing a tab shows that panel; dragging a tab
  pulls the panel out again.
- While dragging, a blue ghost previews the result: the new slot, the
slot with its future tab row, or the floating window.
- A splitter between stacked slots sets their heights; double-click it
to make the slots equal again. Heights persist.
- A press only becomes a drag after 5 px of movement, so clicking a title
bar or tab never moves the panel.

The persisted layout now stores each edge as tab groups with a height
weight, plus a list of floating panels. Configs with the old
bare-panel-id stacks still load as single-panel slots.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 5.5 ff6e2a6613 review(#1660, #1663): associative sweep scan, arc angles, viewport off bit
- refresh_associative_sweeps runs on every edit and scanned the xdata of
every entity; it now returns at once when no associative swept surface
exists (its application is not registered) and looks at surfaces only.
- An arc's end angle was raised by TAU in a loop, which never ends on a
huge angle from a damaged file; the sweep is taken with rem_euclid.
- The sweep DELOBJ test expected surface sweeps to delete their sources,
which #1663 changed on purpose: an associative surface keeps them.
- codec c9ffcac (opencadcodec #103) adds an explicit viewport-off bit: the
viewport on state is read with is_on() and set with turn_on()/turn_off()
everywhere, so a viewport the file marks off shows off and can be turned
  back on from Properties.
