Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 efade01896 fix(offset): pick offset side by containment for closed polylines
OFFSET derived the side from the first segment alone: which half-plane of
that edge's infinite line the pick fell on. For a closed loop that misreads
a pick placed beside the shape — outside the loop yet on the inner side of
the first edge's line — so a counter-clockwise rectangle (RECTANG's winding
when dragged bottom-left to top-right) offset outward by a side pick
collapsed inward instead.

Decide the side for a closed polyline with a point-in-polygon test mapped
through the loop winding (left normal points inward for a CCW loop): inside
→ inward, outside → outward, regardless of winding. Open paths keep the
first-segment heuristic. Adds a regression test covering both windings and
both directions.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 bca8958025 fix(snap): f64-precise computed snaps + UTM-tolerant cull + f64 previews
Computed snaps (midpoint/nearest/perpendicular/intersection/extension/
apparent/grid) reconstructed the snap point from f32 `wire.points`
(absolute high half), so at UTM-scale they landed ~0.5 m off the geometry
while endpoint/center (sourced from f64 key_vertices/snap_pts) stayed
correct. Now they rebuild each vertex from points + points_low (the
double-single low residual) and run the geometry in f64:
- snap() cursor + geometry helpers (nearest_on_segment, perp_foot,
  seg_intersect_xy, extension_snap) are DVec3; wp_f64() reconstructs each
vertex; midpoint uses f64 key_vertices directly (was downcast to f32).
- snap callers pass the precise DVec3 cursor.

Snap capture at deep zoom: the wire-AABB cull compared a sub-millimetre
snap radius against f32 bounds quantized by ~1 ulp (~0.7 m at 5.7e6),
wrongly excluding wires under the cursor. Pad the cull by the bound's own
f32 quantization so it never rejects an in-range wire.

Rubber-band previews (line/circle/arc/ellipse/rect/polygon) built f32
absolute points with an empty points_low, so the wire pass (relative-to-
eye) drew them ~0.5 m off the cursor at UTM. Add WireModel::solid_f64,
which splits f64 points into the double-single high/low pair; previews now
track the cursor exactly.

Known: snapping at extreme zoom on large drawings spikes CPU (per-move
snap cost) — deferred.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 4f7a98a2ad feat(f64): command layer compiles on DVec3
Whole command/snap/grip/cursor chain now builds on f64 DVec3 end to end,
so picked points, snaps and grip drags stay precise at UTM-scale
coordinates instead of quantizing to ~0.5 m through f32.

- All ~80 command files migrated: draw (line/circle/arc/ellipse/shapes
in full f64; others via point methods), modify, annotate, insert, view,
  inquiry, layers, groups, clipboard, layout.
- Entity apply_grip impls updated for GripApply::{Absolute,Translate}(DVec3).
- Construction sites (EntityTransform/CmdResult/DynAnchor) emit DVec3;
wire-preview boundaries cast to f32 only at the GPU edge.
- Modify/annotate commands keep internal Vec3 geometry where precision is
non-critical, casting at the DVec3 boundary; key draw commands store f64.

Builds clean (no warnings). Visual verification of crosshair/snap/grip at
extreme UTM zoom pending.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 3da71698b1 wip(f64): convert command layer to DVec3 (in progress)
Migrate the command/snap/grip/cursor chain from f32 Vec3 to f64 DVec3 so
picked points, snaps and grip drags stay precise at UTM-scale coordinates
(f32 quantizes to ~0.5 m there).

Done so far:
- command/mod.rs: EntityTransform, CmdResult points, CadCommand point
methods, TangentObject already DVec3 (radius f64).
- snap: SnapResult.world DVec3; world_to_screen/try_pt DVec3.
- GripApply -> DVec3; grip find/state (GripEdit) f64; camera
  pick_on_plane_f64 / pick_on_target_plane_f64; scene paper_to_model_f64.
- update.rs click + mouse-move + grip-drag pipelines route precise DVec3
to on_point/on_preview_wires/on_entity_pick; ortho/polar cast at the
  UcsXform boundary only.
- cmd_result dispatch, transform helpers, dimension/arc/circle/multileader
apply_grip, circle/arc/ellipse/shapes draw commands, array modify.

Tree does NOT compile yet (~236 errors remain across modify/annotate/
insert command files + entity apply_grip impls); committed at user request
to checkpoint progress.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.7 c0f3d0de5e feat(render): double-single fills for the face3d pipeline
Table / PolyfaceMesh / greek-text / mleader-background fills go through
the face3d pipeline; their vertices were single f32 and quantized at UTM
scale. WireModel now carries a fill_tris_low residual (filled by the
tessellate Lines path), Face3DVertex gains position_low (location 3), and
face3d.wgsl reconstructs the eye-relative position from the pair. 3DFACE
quads built from key_vertices use a zero residual (no low source).

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.7 97d6993768 refactor(wire): add WireModel.points_low parallel buffer (empty default)
Foundation for double-single positions: WireModel now carries an
index-paired f32 residual buffer (`points_low`) next to the existing
`points` high half. Empty means "all-zero residual", so every existing
constructor (interactive draw, previews) is unchanged in behaviour;
tessellation from CAD f64 will fill it in the next steps so vertex
precision survives at UTM-scale coordinates.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 0c2a97e17e feat(ucs): build axis-aligned shapes in the active UCS
Commands that construct geometry with implicit axis directions ignored
the UCS, so a rectangle drawn under a rotated UCS came out world-aligned.
Give commands the UCS and build square to it:

- CadCommand::set_ucs(Mat4) (UCS→wire affine, default no-op); the host
pushes the current UCS via App::push_ucs_to_cmd before each point /
preview / text dispatch (DocumentTab::ucs_wire_affine, identity outside
model space). New axis-aligned commands just override set_ucs.
- RECT (two-corner) and RECT_CEN (center) place their derived corners on
  the UCS axes (ucs_box_corners / ucs_box_around_center).
- ARRAYRECT row/column offsets run along the UCS axes.

RECT_ROT, POLYGON, and ELLIPSE already take their orientation from picked
points, so they need no change.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 5673612047 fix(command): register remaining interactive commands for autocomplete
ARRAY3D/3DARRAY, ATTEDIT/ATE, DDEDIT/ED and WIPEOUT/WO dispatched on literal
matches but had no CommandRegistration entry, so none surfaced in command-line
autocomplete. Add the inventory submit in each command's module, matching the
convention used by the other interactive commands. Audit confirms no remaining
active_cmd dispatch lacks a registration.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 895937913f fix(modify): register TORIENT in the autocomplete command registry
TORIENT dispatched on a literal match but had no CommandRegistration entry,
so it never surfaced in command-line autocomplete. Add the inventory submit
like the other interactive commands.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 038052f5f9 feat(block): fade context, free editing and a Save/Discard toolbar in REFEDIT
In-place block edit now reads more like a dedicated editor:

- Fade everything except the edited entities toward the background (wires,
block instances and 3D solid meshes) so the block stands out while the
surrounding drawing stays visible for context.
- Don't leave a command active on enter — the user edits the block's geometry
freely (move, grips, draw, erase) and finishes explicitly.
- Show the right-edge vertical toolbar with clickable Save (REFCLOSE_SAVE) and
Discard (REFCLOSE_DISCARD) buttons while a session is active, so the edit
  can be ended without typing.

The fade clears on save/discard, restoring full brightness.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 9f447308a6 feat(block): double-click to edit a block in place (#136)
Double-clicking a block reference (its wire or its solid body) now enters
in-place block edit (REFEDIT), so its geometry can be modified and the change
reflects in every instance on REFCLOSE.

Also drop REFEDIT's "non-uniform scale not supported" restriction: the
session now carries the INSERT's full forward/inverse affine (OCS, rotation
and non-uniform / mirrored scale) and applies it via the entity transform,
instead of a uniform scale + rotate + translate sequence. Mirrored blocks
(e.g. x_scale = -1) are editable now.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 af850421b4 fix(join): stitch touching segments into a polyline, any angle
JOIN previously only merged collinear lines or co-circular arcs into a
single Line/Arc and rejected everything else as "not co-linear" — so the
segments of a broken polyline, which meet at vertices but run at angles,
could never rejoin. It also flattened endpoints to the first segment's Z,
silently discarding height.

Rewrite the geometry pass to chain segments wherever their endpoints
touch, regardless of angle: a collinear straight run still collapses to
one Line, a planar chain becomes an LwPolyline (arcs carried as bulges),
and a chain with varying Z becomes a Polyline3D, preserving height.
Open/closed is detected from the endpoints; a selection that isn't a
single connected chain, or holds an unsupported entity / tilted arc, is
refused with a clearer message.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 5a36494ed7 chore: clear compiler warnings
Remove accidental dead code (unused imports, the superseded paste tool()
helper, a never-read TORIENT handles field, a duplicate let binding, an
unneeded mut) and mark intentional-but-unwired scaffolding with
allow(dead_code): the web-only save_to_bytes, the plugin loadable() probe,
the planned PICK_HIGHLIGHT colours, the DynFieldSpec label, and the layout
ribbon helpers. Native build is now warning-clean apart from the upstream
nom/quick-xml future-incompat notices.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 188d310789 feat(pline): create polyline as a live entity so it snaps while drawing
The polyline was only committed to the document on finish, so its partial
geometry produced no snap points — you could not snap to vertices already
placed. Publish it as a real LwPolyline at the second vertex and replace
its geometry in place as later vertices land, so it lives in the document
(and the snapper) throughout the draw.

New CmdResult::CommitLiveEntity / UpdateLiveEntity{finish} plus a
set_live_handle() hook let a command own an entity mid-run. The create
pushes a single undo snapshot; in-place updates push none, so the whole
object reverts as one unit. Updates preserve the entity's handle and
layer (a fresh built entity carries a NULL handle that would desync it
from the document map key and drop it from rendering). (#119)

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 47f74a9b98 feat(clipboard): paste menu with paste-to-original and paste-as-block
Turn the ribbon Clipboard "Paste" button into a dropdown:
- Paste — existing pick-a-point paste.
- Paste to Original Coordinates — drops the clipboard at its source
  coordinates with no prompt.
- Paste as Block — wraps the clipboard contents in a new block definition
and starts an interactive insert (prompts for the drop point, with the
  geometry rubber-banding under the cursor).

Also fixes two bugs the new commands exposed:
- entities_centroid summed the NaN separator points wire models carry,
so the paste base point came out NaN; non-finite points are now
skipped. A NaN base previously froze block tessellation outright.
- PASTEORIG added clipboard entities with their original handles
(duplicates on same-document paste); it now goes through
add_entity_clone and merges referenced records like the other pastes.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 864dd6cef7 fix(web): render UI icons as SVG instead of font glyphs
UI chrome (dropdown carets, undo/redo, checkmarks, close/menu/osnap,
layer/file-menu icons) and ribbon tool icons were drawn as Unicode
glyphs. Desktop fills missing glyphs via system-font fallback, but the
web build bundles only Fira Sans with no fallback, so they rendered as
empty tofu boxes (issue #116).

Add a shared src/ui/icons.rs (SVG-backed, tintable) plus bundled assets,
and switch every glyph site and IconKind::Glyph tool def to SVG.

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 96ec672d5b feat(points): point style commands + DDPTYPE dialog, viewport-aware size
Points could only render as a 1px dot — no way to change PDMODE/PDSIZE.

- PDMODE / PDSIZE commands set the header value and rebuild the glyphs.
- DDPTYPE opens a Point Style dialog: a 5x4 grid of rendered glyphs
(shape x enclosure), a size field, and relative/absolute radios.
- Relative (<=0) PDSIZE now sizes from the current world-per-pixel so the
marker stays a roughly constant on-screen size across zoom, rebuilding
on zoom via the existing camera-generation cache key. Absolute (>0)
scales with the world as before. Switching to absolute with a zero size
seeds a positive value from the on-screen size so it stays representable.

Part of the #100 extensibility epic (point style surfaced in #106).

Hakan SevenandClaude Opus 4.8 3666c7fa69 refactor(modules): rename home module to draw, restore first-tab order
The Home tab was already titled "Draw"; rename the module to match:
folder modules/home → modules/draw, HomeModule → DrawModule, id "home"
→ "draw". The inner draw/ command folder is kept (modules::draw::draw).

Update build.rs PRIORITY ("home" → "draw") so the tab returns to the
front of the ribbon; registry.rs regenerates accordingly.
