On the web build, {"op":"open","path":…} resolves the name against the
browser's recent-files cache, so a file that is not already there cannot be
opened by the control channel. Accept {"op":"open","name":…,
"data_base64":…} instead: the bytes go through the same parse, caching
and recovery path as a file chosen in the browser picker
(io::open_bytes_web, now shared with pick_and_load_web).
Native builds keep path-based open and reject data_base64 with
invalid_request.
Refs #1349
- app_with_fixture embedded CARGO_MANIFEST_DIR straight into an
automation JSON string; on Windows the backslashes become invalid
JSON escapes and the open failed. Build the payload with json!.
- driver_options_are_edited_remembered_and_sent_with_the_job exercises
the CUPS options editor, which Windows never opens (PrinterProperties
routes to the system dialog there); gate it to non-Windows.
A drawing saved by a commercial CAD application (tests/fixtures/plot,
provided by Panos: one 10 m line, three layouts) corrects several
assumptions of the previous commit:
- rotation is relative to the medium's own orientation: an unchanged sheet
keeps the driver's exact medium (its PDF driver lists landscape media of
its own, written with rotation 0; a system printer's portrait A3 plotted
landscape carries 90); only a newly picked sheet is written as the
catalogue's portrait medium
- the stored scale factor (DXF 147) is the ratio × 25.4 on millimetre page
setups and the plain ratio on inch ones; the "use standard scale" bit
stays clear for standard and custom scales and is set for fit-to-paper;
a standard code is kept across a paper-unit conversion ("1:1" on an
inch page setup over a millimetre paper space is 1 in = 25.4 units)
- layout plots take the same scale path as every other area, so a foreign
layout's paper-space unit survives
- "plot with plot styles" / "display plot styles" round-trip as the
dialog's checkboxes, independent of a style table being named
- layout limits place the sheet at minus its displayed margins, the way the
source application does (the printable corner is the paper-space origin);
the margin ↔ rotation mapping shared by the printable-area guide now
turns the medium's top margin into the layout's left one at 90°
The fixture round-trips through the dialog with every stored field
unchanged; picking a new sheet on it writes the canonical form.

One writer (plot_settings_from_dialog) now serves both the layout's embedded
settings and named page setups, so the two can no longer drift apart:
- media are stored as the portrait sheet with the orientation in the
rotation code (0/90/180/270; upside-down adds a half turn) instead of
swapped width/height with rotation limited to 0/180
- standard scales are written by their code (1:1 … 100:1) with matching
numerator/denominator; other scales as a readable custom ratio in the
layout's own paper unit, converting from the drawing's scale-family unit
(a metre drawing plotting "1:100" stores 10 mm = 1 unit, an inch layout
stores 1 in = 2540 units); reading converts back and keeps a ratio the
scale list has no name for instead of snapping to 1:1
- the layout's paper unit and every flag the dialog does not edit survive a
round trip untouched; layout limits follow the paper-space unit
- new drawings, new layouts, CLEAR and the automation "new" op share one
default page setup (canonical A4 name, rotation 90, none_device, 1:1
layout plot) through Scene::reset_to_new_drawing
Scene gains scale_family_unit_mm, scale_ratio and a scale-name ratio parser
(ratios and architectural names). Round-trip tests cover orientation,
standard/custom/fit scales, unit conversion, named-setup parity, preserved
flags and the default layout.

The Snap and Grid tab showed static grid values with dead checkboxes, and every grid line stroked identically.
Grid X/Y spacing and Major-line-every are now editable inputs (validated 2-100 for majors, dirty-tracked, applied with an error message on bad input); Adaptive-grid and Display-beyond-Limits checkboxes are wired to live state. Every Nth line partitions into major_segments and strokes subtly brighter (1.5x alpha, 0.75px) for the reference hierarchy. GRIDMAJOR state persists to UserSettings. Covers partition, invalidation, and parse tests.
The viewport grid ignored the configured spacing and forced square grids: compute_grid_step hardcoded a 1.0 base, a single shared step drove both line families (including the tangent derivative used for gap measurement), and the display always clipped to LIMITS despite the beyond-Limits option.
Grid spacing now scales per-axis from GRIDUNIT via compute_grid_steps (adaptive 5x growth, fixed passthrough), GridParams carries step_x/step_y, snap tolerances follow the visible steps, and the LIMITS clip is skipped when beyond-Limits is set. Also fixes a per-axis overflow fallback that returned the X base for Y. Spacing state (X/Y, adaptive, beyond-Limits) is stored on the app and persisted to UserSettings at defaults; dialog wiring follows separately.
The viewport context menu is now built from a pure model
(ui::popup::context_menu) rendered by the overlay: while a command runs it
offers Enter / Cancel / every keyword of the command's options() with the
keyword shown as a hint, a Recent Input submenu and M2P; when idle it offers
Repeat, Recent Input, Clipboard, Undo/Redo with history labels, the edit
block (Erase/Move/Copy/Scale/Rotate/Mirror/Draw Order), Isolate, Pan/Zoom,
selection tools, Properties and Options. The default row is anchored under
the pointer and the menu is keyboard-navigable (arrows, Enter, mnemonic
letters; any other key closes it and types into the command line).
Right-click behaviour is a user preference (Options → User Preferences,
SHORTCUTMENU / SHORTCUTMENUDURATION): shortcut menu (commercial solutions default),
time-sensitive, or the previous Enter-first cycle.
LINE gains options() (Close/Undo/eXit).

Properties… next to the printer used to open the CUPS web interface in a
browser. It now edits the driver options of the *selected* printer the
way LibreOffice's Properties… does, without leaving the plot dialog:
- CUPS platforms (Linux, any desktop; macOS): an in-line editor lists the
printer's PPD options as `lpoptions -l` reports them — media type,
colour mode, quality, duplex, trays, scaling — with readable choice
labels, Reset / Cancel / Apply. Apply keeps only the choices that differ
from the driver defaults, per printer, in the plot config, and every job
for that printer passes them as `lp -o key=value`. Where CUPS cannot
answer, the desktop's printer settings panel opens instead of a browser.
- Windows: the driver's document-properties sheet (`DocumentPropertiesW`
with prompt, owned by the main window) and, on OK, the result stored as
the user's printing preferences for that printer (`SetPrinter` level 9),
which the job honours. `printui /e` (printing preferences) replaces the
device-properties sheet as the fallback.
The desktop print portal was tried first and dropped: GTK 4's print
dialog loses the preselected printer when the default queue is listed
before it, so the dialog always opened on the wrong printer.
Dialog layout: the modal grows to 940×620; Printer / plotter and Paper
size share a line with their pickers (long queue and media names now fit);
Copies + Properties… and Custom… sit beneath; the custom-sheet editor
labels each margin (Left / Right, Top / Bottom) and shows the unit.
Also recognises `none_device`, AutoCAD's stored spelling for "no plotter",
and writes it back unchanged.
Tests: `lpoptions` parsing and keyword humanising, the editor flow (load,
stale answer ignored, set, apply, remember, reset, error, cancel), device
name round-trips including `none_device`.

AutoCAD lets a plotter configuration carry user-defined sheets; a drawing
then names them like any other media (`Roll_24_(609.60_x_1500.00_MM)`).
The plot dialog now defines such sheets inline, under the Size row:
name, width/height, unit, and the printable margins in that unit. Added
sheets are selected at once, offered for every device after the device's
own list, remembered in the plot config across sessions, and written to
the layout with their own margins (a printer that reports the same size
still wins with its hardware margins). A selected user-defined sheet can
be removed; the sheet itself stays selectable in the drawing that uses it.
`CustomPaper` / `Margins` live in the paper catalogue with serde support;
`PlotDevice::margins_mm` consults the user's definitions. The Plot
dialog's form helpers (button and field styles, dividers, `label :
control` rows) move to `ui::style::form` so the next dialogs share them
instead of copying.
Tests: draft validation and seeding, catalogue naming of user sheets,
device margins with user definitions, and dialog round-trips (add,
select, persist, write, replace, remove, refuse an invalid size).

Replace the provisional PDF margins with the values AutoCAD's Plotter
Configuration Editor lists for `DWG To PDF.pc3`. They depend on the sheet
family and variant, not the size: ISO sheets 5/17/6/18 mm (left, bottom,
right, top), ISO expand 5/10/6/11 mm, ISO full bleed 0/1/0/1 mm; ANSI and
ARCH sheets 0.23/0.70 in, expand 0.23/0.42 in, full bleed 0.03 in all
round. Inch sets are stored in millimetres like the sheet itself.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <[email protected]>
A page setup names its plotter, and AutoCAD looks that name up in its own
configurations: `DWG To PDF.pc3` for PDF output, the spooler name for a
system printer, `None` when nothing is assigned. Drawings saved here used
to carry the dialog's label ("Save to PDF file…"), so AutoCAD reported a
missing device on every layout plotted to PDF from Open CAD Studio.
- New `io::plot_device`: `PlotDevice { None, Pdf, Printer }` with AutoCAD's
spellings, a reader for stored names that keeps any plotter
configuration AutoCAD wrote (an HP `.pc3`, `DWF6 ePlot.pc3` — plotted to
PDF here but preserved for AutoCAD) and upgrades the legacy label.
- Printable areas: the PDF driver's margins per sheet variant (full bleed
edge to edge; standard / expand insets provisional until read off
AutoCAD's plotter configuration), and for CUPS printers the media and
margins the queue reports over IPP (`ipptool` `media-col-database`),
parsed once per printer and cached. Windows enumeration follows with
native GDI printing.
- Page setups now store the device in AutoCAD's spelling and the margins
of the chosen device/sheet, keeping the drawing's own values while
neither changed (AutoCAD's `PAPERUPDATE` behaviour). The paper-space
printable-area rectangle follows.
- Plot dialog: the default entry names the printer it resolves to; a
printer that answered lists its own sheets with a note; the media query
runs in the background and answers for a since-deselected printer are
dropped.
Tests: device names, stored-name resolution, PDF margin table, IPP media
parsing (sizes, margins, borderless folding, default sheet), PWG names,
plus dialog ↔ layout round-trips for PDF, legacy label, preserved plotter
configuration, sheet change → margins, and printer selection.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <[email protected]>
AutoCAD stores a layout's sheet as the plotter driver's canonical media
name (`ISO_A4_(210.00_x_297.00_MM)`, `ANSI_full_bleed_B_(11.00_x_17.00_Inches)`),
so a drawing saved here has to carry the same spelling for AutoCAD to find
the sheet in its DWG To PDF list, and a name that arrives from AutoCAD must
resolve to its dimensions and go back out untouched.
- New `io::paper_catalog` replaces the eight-entry `paper_sizes`: ISO A/B,
ANSI, ARCH (incl. E1) and JIS series with full-bleed / expand variants,
Letter / Legal / Tabloid, millimetre and inch units, a parser that
reconstructs any well-formed AutoCAD name (custom or driver-specific)
from its embedded dimensions, driver / legacy-config aliases (`A4`,
`Letter`, `Ledger`), and dimension matching that prefers the plain sheet.
- The Plot dialog stores the canonical name and shows the sheet as
`ISO A4 (210 × 297 mm)`; a sheet that only exists in the drawing is
listed first so it stays selectable.
- A sheet the user did not change keeps the drawing's own media name
(`paper_name_for_settings`), so a Windows printer's `A4` is not rewritten
to `ISO_A4_(…)` just by passing through the dialog.
- Drops the unused `PlotFormat` / `PlotOrientation` messages,
`paper_label_from_dims`, and three duplicated `match "A4" | …` tables.
Tests: catalogue spelling, parser round-trip, aliases, dimension matching,
display formatting, plus dialog ↔ layout round-trips for driver-named,
catalogue and unknown sheets.

Drafting Settings dialog gets text inputs for Snap X/Y spacing plus a working Equal X and Y checkbox (mirrored inputs, Y follows X on apply). Snapper gains fixed snap_spacing_x/y (persisted in UserSettings, default 10) decoupled from the adaptive visible-grid step. Grid snap no longer aperture-gated: with Snap On it rounds every point to the grid, object snaps still override by tier. Adds parse/lock regression tests.
- IMAGEEMBED: pack raster images into OLE2FRAME entities so a .dwg is
self-contained; 'Embed Image' entry in the XREF attach menu; control/MCP
op embed_image for external tools; dxf_name for OLE2FRAME queries.
- Scene: populate_images_from_document now rebuilds OLE2FRAME and PDF
underlay models too (they used to vanish after any XREF op).
- Printing: add PRINTER_ENUM_NETWORK pass when listing printers; GDI
spooler fallback (hayro raster at 300 DPI + StretchDIBits) for hosts
whose PDF handler registers no print verb; DEVMODE orientation with a
90-degree raster rotation fallback for v4 drivers; fix the fit-scale
precedence bug that printed blank pages.
- PDF export dialogs on Windows use the async file dialog so the native
overwrite confirmation no longer deadlocks the UI thread.
- Plot dialog: persist the chosen printer (saved on selection) and the
picked plot window across sessions; page setups with no device no
longer reset the output device.
- Community fonts: detect unresolvable .shx references on open and offer
a download from the repository's fonts/ folder (contribution guide in
fonts/README.md); custom font source URL setting for intranet font
servers; downloaded fonts resolve from the per-user fonts directory.
Include decoded IMAGE/OLE content in the shared PDF plotting path,
with clipping, transforms, transparency, draw order, and resource reuse.
Use named page content for export and printing.
Fixes#1266
A day of pan/zoom that had suddenly become unusable on a 1.2M-entity
drawing turned out to be no regression at all: an unattended NVIDIA
userspace update had been applied without a reboot, the Vulkan ICD could
no longer talk to the still-loaded kernel module, and wgpu silently fell
through to Mesa's llvmpipe. Nothing in the app said so. iced picks the
adapter and names it only under RUST_LOG, so the only evidence was 32
`llvmpipe-N` threads in /proc. The same silence covers WARP on Windows,
SwiftShader in browsers, and the case where wgpu finds no adapter at all
and iced quietly draws the chrome with tiny-skia while the shader widget
is dropped, leaving a blank viewport. This commit makes all of that
visible, on every platform, without new dependencies.
Detection (src/scene/pipeline/mod.rs)
-------------------------------------
`GpuStatus` is derived from two signals:
* `record_gpu_adapter`, run from `MultiPipeline::new` (once per device,
next to the existing uncaptured-error handler), reads
`Device::adapter_info()`, prints one `[gpu] adapter: <name> (<backend>,
<device type>, driver …)` line — stderr natively, `console.warn` on the
web, which has no stderr — and keeps a copy.
* `note_scene_draw`, run from `ViewportPane::draw`, counts how often the
viewport asked for a primitive. Every renderer makes that call; only
wgpu goes on to `prepare` and create a device. Three draws with no
device ever recorded therefore mean the primitive is being dropped.
The verdict is one of `Unknown`, `Hardware`, `Software(adapter)` or
`NoRenderer`. `Software` is `DeviceType::Cpu` — what Vulkan reports for
llvmpipe, DX12 for WARP and GL for a renderer string that gives it away —
plus a name match on the fallbacks browsers expose (SwiftShader, llvmpipe,
lavapipe, "Microsoft Basic Render"), because the WebGPU backend reports
every adapter as `Other` (gfx-rs/wgpu#8819). Metal has no software device,
so on macOS only `NoRenderer` can occur (a VM without a GPU); it is caught
by the draw count like everywhere else.
`gpu_status_if_changed` costs one atomic load per app message: a
generation counter moves only when a device is recorded or the draw count
crosses its threshold, so the app re-derives the verdict a handful of
times per session.
Notification (src/app/startup.rs, view/modal.rs, ui/statusbar)
-------------------------------------------------------------
`refresh_gpu_status` runs after every message. On a degraded verdict it
speaks through three channels, because many users never read the command
line:
* A popup, `ModalKind::GpuWarning`, queued once per verdict through the
startup-modal queue so it waits its turn behind the file open. It names
the adapter, states the consequence (slow navigation, unstable or
missing rendering) and gives the remedy that usually applies on the
running platform: a driver update not yet followed by a reboot on
Linux, a missing driver or a Remote Desktop / VM session on Windows, a
VM without a Metal device on macOS, hardware acceleration switched off
in the browser. "Don't show again for this device" stores
`GpuStatus::identity()` in `settings.gpu_warning_silenced`; keying it by
verdict means silencing "software rendering on llvmpipe" does not
silence a later, different failure.
* A status-bar pill in the theme's warning colours, `⚠ Software rendering`
or `⚠ No GPU renderer`. It is not a `StatusPill`, so it cannot be hidden,
and it stays for the session; clicking it reopens the popup, silenced or
not.
* A command-line entry through the new `CommandLine::push_warning`, which
is styled like an error but deliberately does not touch `last_error` /
`error_revision`: automation reads those to decide whether the command it
just ran failed, and a graphics warning is not a failed command.
`subscription()` requests frames only while the verdict is `Unknown` on a
document tab (the Start page draws no viewport), so the probe costs one
frame on a working GPU, three on none, then stops.
Verification
------------
* Live on the machine that had the incident, with the Vulkan loader
restricted to Mesa (`VK_DRIVER_FILES=…/lvp_icd.json WGPU_BACKEND=vulkan`):
popup → OK → pill → click reopens; "Don't show again" → restart → pill
only, no popup.
* `gpu_tests::the_adapter_is_reported_once_per_device` (ignored, needs an
adapter) asserts the classification on a real device; it was run on both
llvmpipe (`Cpu`) and an NVIDIA GT 1030 (`DiscreteGpu`).
* Unit tests cover the name heuristic, the verdict function, the identity
rule, the warning text with an adapter name that itself contains
parentheses and commas, the settings round trip and the command-line
semantics. New strings are in all 21 locales as the `gpu` Fluent group.

value toggle, and redesigned constraint-ribbon icons
Properties panel:
- New "Parameters" section (shown with no selection) listing every named
parameter with inline name/formula editing, add, and delete, backed by
new PropValue::ParamRow/ParamAddRow and command_driver handlers
(resolve_named_parameter_edit, on_prop_param_commit/_delete/_add_new).
A fresh parameter's formula now defaults to "1", not "0" — a 0-length
seed value is a genuine solver singularity for a Distance constraint
driven by that parameter, with no defined direction to grow back out of.
- New "Constraints" section (shown for a single selected entity) listing
every constraint touching it as a clickable PropValue::EntityLink that
selects the linked entities in the viewport, danger-tinted when the
constraint conflicts.
Constraint pills:
- New Options > General toggle, "Show values and parameter names on
constraint markers" (on by default, persisted). Off, every pill shows
just its bare glyph instead of glyph+driven-value/parameter-name — the
glyph alone is enough to see a constraint is present, without the value
text covering nearby geometry on a dense sketch.
Constraint-ribbon icons:
- Replaced all 18 unicode/letter glyph icons (including the plain "F",
"L", "M", "S" letters) with proper SVGs under assets/icons/constrain/,
matching the Modify section's two-color style (#B4B6B9 white / #6DB7ED
blue, consistent stroke width). Tangent reuses the Draw section's
white-arc-plus-blue-dots motif.

**TEXTFILL marked the drawing modified.** It is an application preference —
it lives in a process global and is snapshotted into settings.json — but it
was missing from the list of names that persist, so setting it dirtied the
open drawing instead and never reached the settings file through that path.
**LTSCALE and CELTSCALE validated differently depending on the door.** The
standalone commands reject a value of zero or less, because a non-positive
linetype scale degenerates every dash pattern in the drawing. `SETVAR LTSCALE
-5` accepted it. A test drives both entry points for both variables and fails
on the SETVAR path without the fix.
**ISAVEBAK, SAVETIME and FILEASSOC were missing from the autocomplete
registry** although all three dispatch, so the command line never offered
them.
**`bg_color` and `paper_bg_color` were dead fields**, always written as `None`
and ignored on load since the model-space configuration superseded them.
Removing them is safe: the config is `#[serde(default)]` and ignores unknown
keys, so existing settings files simply stop carrying them.
One thing the survey flagged that turned out not to be a bug: on the Display
page the model background row hides itself outside Custom mode while the
paper and desk rows do not. That asymmetry is correct — the canvas mode
governs only the model background, and the other two apply in every mode.

The ViewCube, the UCS icon, its at-origin placement and selection cycling all
have commands and status-bar pills, and all four kept their value only on the
app struct. Turn the ViewCube off with NAVVCUBE, restart, and it is back.
Nothing failed — the setting evaporated — so a checkbox for any of them would
have been a checkbox that forgets. They are persisted first, with a
round-trip test, and only then given controls.
The new 3D Modeling page carries the three view tools plus the drawing
variables that decide how solids are tessellated: ISOLINES, DISPSILH, SURFU,
SURFV, SURFTYPE, SOLIDHIST and SHOWHIST. Those are saved in the DWG rather
than in preferences, so the page says so beside each group and hides them
entirely when no drawing is open.
Changing them also rebuilds the geometry. The SETVAR path never did, which is
why the comment beside LTSCALE's invalidation exists — the same reasoning
applies here, and without it a new isoline count does not appear until some
unrelated edit rebuilds the solid.
Selection cycling joins the Selection page next to the other two selection
modes, since that is what it is.

Two drafting preferences had no proper home. The Drafting Settings dialog
displays the drafting rotation and offers only a Reset button — there was no
way to type an angle short of `SETVAR SNAPANG`. The polar tracking increment
existed in exactly one place: a pop-up hanging off the status-bar pill.
The rotation is a text field over an edit buffer rather than the value
itself, so clearing it to retype does not snap the crosshair to zero on the
way through; the buffer is reseeded whenever the value is restored from
behind it. Angles render without a trailing `.0`, matching how the polar
pop-up has always shown them — same kind of number, same reader.
Snap modes, grid spacing and object snap stay in Drafting Settings, where
they belong; the page links to it.

Three settings that work, persist, and could only be reached by typing their
name: TEXTFILL, CLIPROMPTLINES and COMMANDLINEFADETIME. The last two govern
how much of the command window is prompt and how long its history lingers —
the kind of thing people fiddle with once and then leave, which is exactly
what a settings dialog is for.
One fix rides along. TEXTFILL is a process-global, so changing it invalidates
the text in every open drawing; the SETVAR path rebuilt only the active tab,
leaving the others rendering the previous setting until an unrelated edit
happened to rebuild them. Both paths now go through
`invalidate_text_everywhere`, so the checkbox and the command cannot disagree.

The dialog laid its pages out as a row of buttons across the top, which is
what AutoCAD does and what fits while there are four of them. The pages this
series adds take it to nine, and the names are translated into 21 languages —
a row of nine German or Russian page names does not fit at any dialog width
worth having.
The rail is now a vertical list down the left, the dialog is 880×620 rather
than 540×560, and the content pane scrolls on its own.
Which page was open is now remembered. With four pages, reopening on General
was a shrug; with nine it means hunting for the one you were last in.
The ribbon's Options tool has existed all along — `ToolDef`, icon and all —
but was marked `#[allow(dead_code)]` and never added to a group, so the
dialog could only be reached by typing OPTIONS or from the start page. It
now sits in Manage ▸ Application, beside About.
No settings change in this commit; it is only the shell the rest needs.

Brings in 54 commits from origin/main: a selection-performance overhaul,
surface thickening, GPU-native wide/tapered stroke rendering, continued
ocs_doc_api evolution, and assorted fixes/polish (block double-click
editing, DWG hatch/database repair, clipboard, collapsible Properties
sections).
Six real conflicts, all where this branch had independently re-applied
a fix upstream later revised or already carried natively:
- src/app/automation.rs, src/app/command_driver.rs: combined both
sides — kept this branch's sketch-constraint/named-parameter loading
on "new"/"open", adopted main's Scene::clear()/material_base_dir and
its newer rebuild_derived_caches() over the older bump_geometry().
Scene::clear() (src/scene/entity.rs) now also resets
sketch_constraints/named_parameters, so every caller gets this for
free instead of each call site repeating it.
- src/io/mod.rs, src/scene/render_graph.rs: adopted main's design
outright (commit 973af87d, authored by Hakan directly) — a large
MINSERT is no longer purged as "corrupt" at load, only its rendering
is bounded, preserving the source data. This branch's own earlier
design (reject at load) predates that revision.
- src/scene/pipeline/mesh_gpu.rs: adopted main's valid_rgba_size()
guard (a real robustness improvement over this branch's version).
- src/snap.rs: replaced wholesale with main's version — this branch's
copy was an explicit verbatim snapshot from an earlier upstream PR
(commit 4c264b8c) with zero constraint-system-specific content, and
main has since evolved it considerably further.
Also removed two now-dead duplicates the merge surfaced without a
conflict marker (both branches had independently fixed the same
things): the OPTIONS/OP command dispatch/autocomplete entries, and
automation.rs's open_finalizes_and_purges_like_the_ui_open_path test
(kept main's version, which covers strictly more: solid_models/
material_base_dir reset on "new").
Full workspace suite passes (812 lib tests + this branch's own 24
constraint/persistence integration tests) except the one pre-existing,
unrelated font-test failure already present on main. Zero clippy
findings in the hand-written merge resolution itself; the ~1,171
warnings clippy reports are pre-existing in the 54 absorbed commits,
not introduced here.

New ConstraintKind variants — Concentric, CenterPoint, Colinear, Midpoint,
Fixed, PointOnCurve, EqualDistance, Symmetric — each built entirely from
existing ocs_gcs (FreeCAD planegcs) primitives, no new solver math needed.
build_constraint now returns Vec<Rc<dyn Constraint>> instead of
Option<Rc<...>>, generalizing the old Coincident-only "needs a second
system-level constraint" special case to every kind that needs one.
Wired into the ribbon (7 new buttons), a new point+pre-selected-entity
command for CenterPoint/Midpoint/PointOnCurve, a new 4-point command for
EqualDistance, and the existing DWG-native class-name mapping (all 8 reuse
the same generic "plain Geometrical node" path already built for
Coincident/Horizontal/etc.). Deliberately not modeled: Normal and
EqualCurvature, which for this app's Line/Circle-only entity model would
just be Perpendicular and Equal wearing different DWG class names.
Also makes DWG-native constraint persistence opt-in (Options > General,
off by default) rather than unconditional: a scope that doesn't yet have
the native graph is only given one when the setting is on, but a scope
that already has one — from an earlier save, or a file that came from
real AutoCAD — keeps getting it resynced regardless of the setting, so
toggling it off never freezes a stale graph in place.

Implements docs/dwg_constraint_compatibility_design.md's staged plan in
full: materializes the sketch-constraint set as acadrust's real
AssocNetwork/Assoc2dConstraintGroup object graph on save, additive to
the existing OCS_SKETCH_CONSTRAINTS XRecord, so files also carry
constraints AutoCAD/BricsCAD recognize as their own native objects
(per Hakan's request on the upstream project). Covers every
ConstraintKind, including AssocVariable wiring for named-parameter
driving values, and clears+rebuilds on each save.
DWG round-trips the full dependency chain; DXF only keeps the
constraint-group shell since acadrust's own DXF writer deliberately
omits AssocDependency-family objects. Both behaviors are covered by
tests and documented in the design doc's progress section, along with
two other implementation-time findings (skipping the NOD-anchored

Named parameters (docs/named_parameters_design.md, stages 3-4):
- ParameterTable (src/scene/named_parameters.rs): a document-wide table of
named formulas, each resolved through a shared expression evaluator with
cross-parameter references, cycle detection, and division-by-zero/parse
error reporting. SketchConstraint::driving_param becomes DrivingValue
(Literal | Named) instead of a bare f64, resolved at solve time by
sketch_solve::build_constraint via Scene::named_parameters.
- Persistence (src/scene/named_parameters_persist.rs): same lazy XRecord
model sketch_persist.rs already established, synced around open/save.
Bumps the sketch-constraint XRecord's own format version (1 -> 2) since
DrivingValue's shape doesn't line up with a version-1 blob's bytes.
- PARAMETERS command and its editor (src/ui/window/named_parameters.rs):
add/remove/edit rows, live validation, duplicate-name detection: Apply
defines the table and re-solves every constraint scope with a
named-parameter-driven constraint (command_driver.rs). Distance/Angle
constraint prompts (modules/draw/constrain/value.rs) now accept either a
literal or an existing parameter's name, mirroring how the constraint's
own value prompt already worked.
- Undo scope-down carried over from this project's own established pattern
(constraint-system stage 9): the geometry an Apply moves is one undo
step, but the parameter table edit itself has no undo entry yet — a
documented follow-up, not a silent gap.
UI scale setting (src/app/settings.rs, app/mod.rs, ui/window/options.rs):
a whole-interface scale percentage (50-200%), wired directly into iced's
own per-window scale_factor hook rather than per-panel font-size
plumbing, so it applies immediately to every panel, dialog, and the
ribbon at once. Persisted alongside the existing lineweight-display-scale
setting.
OPTIONS/OP command dispatch (app/commands/view.rs, app/commands/mod.rs):
OPTIONS was registered for autocomplete but had no dispatch arm — the
Start-tab welcome screen's own button was the only way to reach it.
Found live-testing the UI-scale setting, unrelated to that feature
itself. "OP" is AutoCAD's own short alias.
help/: a new self-contained static user-help manual (manual.md as the
authored source, tools/build_help.py splits it into the committed static
HTML pages plus search index) — not yet wired into the application.
64 new/updated tests across the named-parameters and constraint-prompt
changes.
