- Dragging a tab along its slot's tab strip moves it to the gap under the
pointer; the drop preview shows the new tab order. A panel dragged from
elsewhere onto a tab strip lands at that position too. A drop in the
middle of the slot still appends a newcomer and leaves a member where
it is.
- All tabs of a slot share one width: a joining panel takes the slot's
width, resizing or resetting one tab sizes them all, and slots sized
apart by older configs render at their widest tab. Switching tabs no
longer changes the column width.
- Hovering an auto-hide rail raises its slot without turning the rail
blue.

- Docked title bars show the pin and close only while the pointer is
over the bar; the bar keeps a fixed height so nothing jumps.
- Auto-hide on is drawn as a 30° tilted pin (new pin_active.svg)
instead of a coloured button background, on docked and floating bars.
- A floating panel's resize grip sits in the bottom corner away from its
title bar. With the bar on the right it is bottom-left (new mirrored
resize_left.svg) and resizing from there keeps the right edge fixed.
The bar stays on its side while resizing.
- While a floating panel is dragged, only the drop preview shows it; the
panel no longer stays drawn at its old place.

A dimension carries its graphics in a block of its own, drawn in that
block's frame, and the entity records where the frame sits. The renderer
inserted it at the origin instead, so every dimension whose file carries a
non-zero insertion point drew far from the geometry it measures — the whole
picture offset by that point. Dimensions inside block definitions are where
this shows: a drawing of plan blocks scattered their dimension graphics
thousands of units away, over empty sheet.
The picture now follows the dimension's insertion point, rotation, scale and
extrusion, the way any block reference is placed.

Every docked panel now shows its title bar flush along the top, like the
Properties panel: dock::frame takes the title bar separately and pads
only the content below it.
A floating panel drops its horizontal title bar for a vertical one on
the side facing the nearer workspace edge. Close and the auto-hide pin
sit at the top; the panel's icon sits at the bottom with the title
reading upward above it. The free part of the bar drags the panel. With
auto-hide on, a floating panel shrinks to its title bar until hovered.
Panel views take a dock::Chrome (auto-collapse plus floating) in place
of the bare auto-collapse flag, so the shared title bar knows when to
step aside.

A drawing whose plan content is built from blocks reaches thousands of
definitions, and each one took a buffer of its own for its segments and
another for its constants, plus one per placement run. The payloads are a
few hundred bytes, but every allocation costs a page: 14k definitions ask a
device for 1.8 GB to hold 12 MB of geometry. D3D12 runs out, the failed
allocations stay invalid, every later frame writes to them, and the session
dies in the staging belt.
The definitions of a build now share one arena: constants in a single
uniform buffer addressed by dynamic offset, segments in a single geometry
buffer addressed by first_vertex, placements in a single instance buffer
addressed by first_instance, with another arena started whenever one of the
three would outgrow the per-buffer budget. The cache holds the records
rather than the buffers, so a build the device rejected poisons nothing.

SURFACEASSOCIATIVITY now keeps EXTRUDE, REVOLVE and LOFT surfaces linked to
their sources: the profile (and axis object) or cross sections are kept, the
surface is made again when they change, and the drawing's associative
network carries an action with the extruded, revolved or lofted surface
action body, its path parameters and value parameters as the reference
writes them. Swept, extruded, revolved and lofted surfaces can read
splines (NURBS edge curve, fit-point splines through their fit points)
and ellipses (elliptical edge curve). Associative surfaces of a file
opened here follow their sources too.

An orthographic preset sets its orthographic UCS while UCSORTHO is on
(*FRONT*, *RIGHT*, …; TOP returns to the world UCS); presets no longer
flip to the opposite view when repeated. -VIEW runs as its own command:
Window asks for the name and corners, sEttings loops over Background,
Categorize, Layer snapshot, live Section, Ucs and Visual style with the
reference prompts and messages, Save keeps the UCS with the view while
UCSVIEW is on and Restore brings it back. UCSORTHO and UCSVIEW are
profile variables.

- Pins: codec 8189f83, kernel a82f17d, graph d3558bb (all manifests and
the python plugin lock).
- MASSPROP reports volume, centroid, inertia, products, radii of
gyration and principal moments of 3D solids and bodies from their
B-rep (exact where analytic, else from a fine mesh).
- OFFSET of ellipses and splines through the kernel's curve offset.
- FILLET between circles, ellipses and splines through the kernel's
curve-curve fillet, trimming arcs and open splines to the tangents.
The kernel bump brings the DWG ACIS audit fixes: slices, booleans and
press/pull on cones, slanted cylinder sections, survey coordinates,
spline walls and touching parts.

Panels can now float over the workspace, share a docked slot as tabs,
and split an edge at heights the user picks.
- Dropping a panel away from the edges floats it at the pointer. Floating
panels move by their title bar, resize from a corner grip, and come to
the front when clicked.
- Dropping in the top or bottom quarter of a docked slot docks the panel
above or below it, as before. Dropping in the middle adds the panel as
a tab of that slot. Pressing a tab shows that panel; dragging a tab
pulls the panel out again.
- While dragging, a blue ghost previews the result: the new slot, the
slot with its future tab row, or the floating window.
- A splitter between stacked slots sets their heights; double-click it
to make the slots equal again. Heights persist.
- A press only becomes a drag after 5 px of movement, so clicking a title
bar or tab never moves the panel.
The persisted layout now stores each edge as tab groups with a height
weight, plus a list of floating panels. Configs with the old
bare-panel-id stacks still load as single-panel slots.

Checked rows (Properties, grip Stretch/Copy) drew a leading "✓ " that
pushed their label out of line with the other rows. The check mark now
sits in the trailing column where submenu headers draw their caret.
Disabled Undo/Redo rows had grey text but full-strength icons:
themed_disabled faded the icon through the SVG tint colour's alpha, which
iced ignores (the tint only replaces RGB). Fade via the widget's opacity
instead, which fixes every themed_disabled icon.

underscore) directly, Orthographic asking for the face with <Top> as the
default. Keyword prompts accept a leading underscore on their keywords.

- refresh_associative_sweeps runs on every edit and scanned the xdata of
every entity; it now returns at once when no associative swept surface
exists (its application is not registered) and looks at surfaces only.
- An arc's end angle was raised by TAU in a loop, which never ends on a
huge angle from a damaged file; the sweep is taken with rem_euclid.
- The sweep DELOBJ test expected surface sweeps to delete their sources,
which #1663 changed on purpose: an associative surface keeps them.
- codec c9ffcac (opencadcodec #103) adds an explicit viewport-off bit: the
viewport on state is read with is_on() and set with turn_on()/turn_off()
everywhere, so a viewport the file marks off shows off and can be turned
back on from Properties.

SWEEP: base point from the path; kernel sweep validity fixes
The fork pin the PR carried ([patch] to ramox81/cadkernel 30b3810) is
resolved to upstream instead: kernel 99b6b48 (opencadkernel #78-#83),
codec c9ffcac (opencadcodec #102, #103), graph 7f6aae7, in every manifest.
The Properties palette reads the layer names when it is built, and a
layer rename only refreshed the layer panel and the ribbon, so the
palette's layer list kept the old name beside the new one. The layer
panel refresh now rebuilds the palette whenever the set of layer names
changed: rename, new, delete and purge all pass through it. A layer
toggle that leaves the names alone does not rebuild it, as the rebuild is
costly for a large selection.

Idle and object selection drew the same cursor, crosshair arms with the
pickbox, so the cursor did not tell a pick from a free move. While a
command gathers a selection or waits for an object pick the arms now go
and the pickbox stays: idle keeps arms and box, point input arms and dot.

On a non-Retina screen macOS draws the interface at 1x, which reads small
on a Full HD monitor, and there was no way to enlarge it. Options >
Display now offers an interface scale of 75–200 % in 25 % steps, applied
through the window's scale factor on top of the display's own and kept
with the user settings. It is a list rather than a slider because the
dialog rescales under the pointer as the value changes.

PURGE repeats until a pass removes nothing. A drawing whose complex
linetypes use shape files carries unnamed STYLE records for them; the
table holds those under keys the empty name does not reach, so every pass
listed them again and removed nothing, and the loop never ended.
- Unnamed and shape-file styles, and styles a complex linetype reaches by
handle, are never listed for purging.
- In-use checks compare names case-insensitively, as the tables do, so a
layer, style or linetype referenced as WALL is not purged as Wall.
- Counts are what the tables actually removed, and a pass that removes
nothing ends the loop.

false when no underlays exist, eliminating the idle tick leak.
A single profile's base point comes from the path it is swept along: a

it stands. Kernel 30b3810: pcurves in the edge's parameterisation (valid
spline-faced sweeps), corner crossings fitted to the modeller's
resolution, run faces through stations evenly spaced along the run.
