The name card draws the selected objects, or the existing definition the
name picks. OK with no objects shows an in-window band offering to select
objects or to define an empty block. A switch opens the new block in the
block editor once it is defined; it is remembered with the other dialog
choices. Automation gains block_def_dialog.

Import AutoCAD PGP aliases and support UCSFOLLOW workflows. The UCS
conflict keeps main's click-origin flow (axis preview, Enter accepts
the placed axes) and takes the PR's prompt and option keywords.
PROPERTIES only flipped the visibility flag, so a Properties pallet in
an edge's inactive group or behind auto-hide stayed out of sight. It
now opens through the dock, which brings its group forward. In clean
screen the pallet shows on top without changing its normal state;
leaving clean screen drops that overlay.

Options > Files lets the fonts and plot style folders move elsewhere,
such as a share a whole team uses (Change... / Default). Fonts are then
looked up and downloaded there, and plot style tables listed and saved
there; the choice is kept in the profile.

Selection: report what each pick found while a command gathers objects

The guard remembered only the last announced (tab, generation), so
switching A -> B -> A announced A's load again. Each tab now carries
its own pending flag, set when a document is installed and cleared by
the boundary dispatch.

Reference-only entities (plugin API v9): a scene-scoped, in-memory
designation for plugin-owned display geometry, plus HostNotification
dispatch to native plugins so they can re-mark on DocumentOpened.
Resolves the new DeltaSnapshot site in block_editor.rs.

The color_book_dirs setting is gone. Colour books live in color_books in
the config folder (book::folder()), like the other fixed locations;
Options > Files shows it through Folders::color_books. read_all() and
load_from_dialog() use that folder directly.

Options > Files lists the color book folder as a read-only row with Open
folder, like Plot styles or Fonts. The Add folder / Remove buttons, their
messages and the explanatory line (in all 22 locales) are gone; the
folder list stays in the settings for a later location option.

Close the no-load-callback gap: on_notification was a dead dispatch sink —
a plugin had no way to learn that the active document changed, the selection
changed, or that a document opened, so runtime designations could not be
re-seeded after a load.
Dispatch the existing plain variants at the fingerprint-guarded boundaries
the v4 bridge already uses: DocumentChanged (the active tab's settled
geometry epoch) and SelectionChanged (the selection set) leave through
BuiltinPlugin::on_notification at the post-message boundary — after the
mutation settles and pending history scopes closed, never mid-undo or
mid-pick — and at the automation post-op boundary. Plugin-initiated writes
publish immediately after settling, like the drawing-changed event; the
boundary fingerprint guard deduplicates.
Add the additive HostNotification::DocumentOpened { tab_id } variant
(discriminant 10, the counterpart of DocumentTabClosed): fired exactly once
per whole-document install — file open, template new, system open — keyed on
a new per-tab document generation, so an edit can never repeat it and a
reload fires it once. The API version stays v9 (the bump is unreleased).
Write semantics for handlers, tested and documented: a handler may call
HostApi write methods through the same session (set_reference_only at
minimum); its write bumps the epoch, the next boundary notifies once more,
and because re-marking already-designated geometry is a documented no-op —
no epoch bump, no undo step, no publish — the loop terminates. History
(undo/redo) replay itself emits nothing; the boundary is the only channel.
No Python mapping, like the rest of this increment.
- Colour books now come from folders, like AutoCAD's Color Book
Locations: Options > Files lists them (add, open, remove); by default
one color_books folder in the config directory. The Color Books tab
shows the built-in books plus every .acb in those folders; Load copies
the chosen file into the first folder. Web: session only, as before.
- Grid/list buttons use the app's toggle style (light accent, its text
colour for the icon, same corners as inactive).
- Color Books: the load button sits right of the book list; the search
box keeps its start over the page strip and runs to the end.
- Translations for the two new Options strings in all 22 locales.

Open the Edit Block Definition dialog when BEDIT is invoked without an active selection, listing candidate block definitions alphabetically while filtering layout records, anonymous blocks, and external references. Allow typing a new valid block name to start an empty block editor session that only commits to the drawing block table upon explicit save.
Preview the current unsaved block in a disposable drawing with independent history. Keep normal Draw tools available, append Close Test Block, and return to the original editor without saving. Guard persistence paths and handle refresh and parent-close lifecycle by stable document identity.
The count line now uses the objects the selection step itself picked
(a click, a window or crossing, a lasso, a fence, Last / Previous /
All): "N found (D duplicate), M total" when some were chosen already,
"N found, R removed, M total" in remove mode, "N found, M total" when a
removal picks objects that were not chosen.

Lines still showing when the pointer reaches the overlay history no
longer fade under it; leaving restarts their COMMANDLINEFADETIME.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
Every pick during object selection prints the reference's count line:
"N found" for the first pick or a pick that adds nothing, "N found,
M total" after it, "N found, N removed, M total" when objects leave the
set. It is printed before a command's own filtering, so "N were filtered
out" follows it. COUNT reports through it and the ad hoc
"object(s) found." / "object(s) added to selection." lines are gone.

The docked panel and Quick Properties render the same rows from one
state, so a picked colour opened both dropdowns and each swallowed the
other's click.

A lone Alt shows a code on every ribbon tab and quick-access button.
Typing a tab code opens the tab and shows the codes of its buttons,
dropdowns, slide-outs and collapsed panels; a button code runs it, a
dropdown or slide-out code opens it and shows its item codes, Esc goes
back one level. Codes follow the reference ribbon; buttons without a
reference counterpart get none and unnamed menu items are numbered.
Codes are drawn as accent pills over the widgets that reported their
bounds in the current frame, with a hint bar under the ribbon. While
the tips are open keys go to them only. The automation gets a keytips
action and read operation.

Create a new named definition from current session edits, restore the source checkpoint, and continue editing the copy with fresh local history. Add the name dialog and Save dropdown, clone supported owned metadata onto independent handles, and refuse unsupported relationships atomically.
REFEDIT opens a dialog after the pick: the nesting chain as chips with a
preview of the chosen definition, all objects or picking them in the
drawing, attribute definitions (offered only when the definition has
them), locking objects outside the working set and unique names for an
external reference's named objects. The settings are remembered.
With unique names an xref's dependent layers, linetypes, text styles and
blocks are checked out as $N$NAME records of their own; without, under
the plain name, sharing a host record of that name. Save writes them back
under the reference's names, and the records made for the session are
removed when it closes. -REFEDIT uses the remembered settings.

IMAGEADJUST (alias IAD) takes the selected raster images or asks
"Select image(s):", then opens a dialog with a before/after preview of
the first image and brightness, contrast and fade rows (bar plus
stepper, whole numbers 0-100). Apply writes the values to every chosen
image as one undo step; restore defaults sets 50/50/0. Adds the
image_adjust automation action and the image-adjust locale group.

One finger already worked as the mouse. Two or more fingers now make a
gesture instead of fighting over the cursor: two drag to pan and pinch to
zoom about the fingers, three drag to orbit; a quick two-finger tap opens
the context menu, a three-finger tap zooms to the extents and a quick
three-finger swipe up shows the isometric view. While a gesture runs the
drawing area's own pointer handling keeps out, and the press the first
finger started is dropped.

A paste that finds no text now reads an image off the system clipboard
on desktop as well as on the web. The pixels are written as a PNG beside
the drawing (or in the config folder for a drawing never saved) and
placed as a raster image at the cursor, the same way the web paste
attaches a screenshot. PASTESPEC falls back to the same image paste when
the clipboard holds neither objects nor text.

Three toggles beside the Recent Documents title switch the panel between
the existing list, a grid of thumbnail tiles and one large preview per

FBXEXPORT (also EXPORTFBX) saves every 3D mesh of the drawing (solids,
surfaces and meshes, at full display resolution) as a binary FBX 7.4
file for visualisation tools: one model per object with its geometry,
face normals and a material in its display colour. Axes stay Z-up and
the unit scale follows the drawing's insertion units.

Options > Display gains Window Elements with "Show the menu bar"
(MENUBAR) and "Show the ribbon" (RIBBON / RIBBONCLOSE); Options > User
Preferences gains a Hatch switch for HPASSOC. The command line now
starts at 80 % opacity so the drawing shows through it.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
MENUBAR 1 shows File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Tools, Draw,
Dimension, Modify, Parametric and Help menus above the ribbon; every
entry runs an existing command, and a test keeps each entry pointing at
a registered command. RIBBONCLOSE hides the ribbon and RIBBON brings it
back, so the menus can replace it. Both choices persist.
Also translates the "File" label, which every locale had left in
English.

COMMANDLINEOPACITY (20-100 percent, default 100) and a slider under
Options > Display make the floating command line's panels see-through,
so the drawing stays visible behind it. The input field stays opaque
for legibility. The value is an application setting that persists.

Pressing on a selected object (away from its grips) and dragging runs
MOVE on the selection from the grabbed point, and the release is the
destination, so the drag gets the command's preview, snaps and ortho.
With Ctrl the drag runs COPY and places one copy. A press that does not
move stays an ordinary click, and drags that start off the selection
still make a window or lasso.

HPASSOC (0 or 1, default 1) is the starting state of the hatch
command's associative option. It is an application setting: typed
directly or through SETVAR, it persists across sessions and does not
mark the drawing modified.

PASTESPEC offers the formats on the clipboard: Objects and Block for
objects copied in the application (the PASTECLIP and PASTEBLOCK paths),

the current text style with its lines as paragraphs.

Typing <angle at a point prompt (e.g. <30) now fixes the direction of
the next point from the last one until a point is placed: the cursor
moves along that direction, and a bare number entered next is the
distance along it. The angle is read in the drawing's angle base and
direction and turned into the current UCS. Works from the command line
and from scripts or the automation token input alike.

Renaming a layer or a style was only applied on Enter; clicking anywhere
else dropped the typed name. A click that moves focus off a field whose
text changed now commits it. New and Copy in the style managers open the
generated name for renaming, so a new style can be named right away.

Document tab: every concrete colour the drawing uses (objects, block
definitions and layers), found in one pass when the panel opens, as a
grid of swatches sortable by recently used, most used, colour and colour
number. The recently-used list is now kept per drawing, so the ribbon's
Recent row shows this drawing's colours.
Color books tab: load AutoCAD .acb colour books (remembered in the
settings on desktop), browse them page by page with the page strip,
search by name and see the RGB equivalent. A book colour is applied as
RGB plus its BOOK$NAME identity on objects and layers instead of
dropping the name.
Strings translated into all 22 locales.
