Irakli Kourtis 2eb292dd4a Surface Revolve: sheets turned from open curves and profiles (#824)
Surface Revolve turns open curves and closed profile boundaries about a sketch axis into surface bodies, with cone apexes and sphere poles where a chain ends on the axis, and a closed shell made solid. Adds the SurfaceRevolve feature (format 18 note), the surface.revolve command, a dialog with Edit Feature support and analytic kernel and engine tests.

Part of #757.

Que fe07f79387 fix: a hole at sketch points drills into the part its sketch touches (#910)
Hole centres from a sketch now drill into the material on whichever side of the sketch plane it lies: material the spot starts in wins, then the nearest body ahead, else against the sketch normal as before. A sketch on a part's underside or below it now drills up into the part. Covers counterbores, through-all, edge and corner centres, patterns and reopening.

Irakli Kourtis b52d4390a0 face.delete heal: false leaves an open surface body (#861)
Delete Face takes heal (default true, as before). With heal: false the picked faces are removed and the gap stays open, leaving the remaining faces as a surface body (kernel remove_faces); deleting every face is refused. Saved only when false, noted under format 18.

Irakli Kourtis 1d30e4e1d2 feat: fillet radius tapers along an edge to the room there (#749)
Adds `fit: taper` to Fillet: where a constant radius doesn't fit along a straight edge, it follows the room there as a smooth spline, down to zero where a face closes to a point. Taper to Fit is in the Fillet dialog, and the feature's warning says how far it tapered.

NOWN-DEVandClaude Opus 5.5 a1cb8d4d36 feat: Convert to Sheet Metal takes a solid or a shelled body by its bend edges (#725)
Convert to Sheet Metal now takes a solid or a shelled body by its bend edges (`bends`): the faces reached from the fixed face across those edges become the sheet, keeping the part's envelope, with the flat pattern by the rule's K-factor and radius. Other edges between sheet faces are cut open. The result works with edge flanges, cuts, Unfold/Refold, the flat pattern and DXF. A conversion without `bends` is the plate conversion as before. The optional `bends` field is noted under format 17. Fixes #647.

Extrude and Revolve from a body face take `face_body` to say whose face is meant where faces of several bodies meet flush at the picked point. Without it, an ambiguous pick now names the bodies that meet there instead of saying there is no face. Fixes #703.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 29258767ce fix: refuse Boolean retries that change the part away from the tool (#616) (#644)
Joining ribs flush with a lid's window left a zero-thickness slit far from the rib (the planar fallback glued back only one of the faces its pieces shared) and displaced the tool on the other joins. Gluing now joins every shared face pair, coincident-face separation checks there is material behind a pushed face for every join, and any join or cut that needed a retry must be closed, keep volume monotonic and leave the part unchanged outside the tool's box, or it is refused with an error. Feature command replies carry the feature's warning.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 6d5df4b9b3 Sketch on cut walls, chamfers, pattern copies, join-merged sides and split faces (#625)
A flat face that no construction certificate names on its own now attaches by its exact history name (a new lineage face certificate): cut walls and floors, chamfer faces, each pattern or mirror copy, side walls a Join merged, and the pieces a later feature split a face into. Construction certificates still come first; a seed keeps its certificate when it is patterned. Two flush extrudes of one outline joined end to end keep their exact history in the prism boolean. Face sketch 52% -> 71%, offset plane 52% -> 71%, press-pull/extrude from face 41% -> 60% in the action matrix; baseline blessed.

Jonas Wrede a4ca1b68db feat: compact MCP batch replies; feature replies name changed and removed bodies (#530) (#599)
MCP batch takes verbose: false for compact replies: feature steps leave out the full body list and sketch steps the ids they repeat outside created. Feature replies now also list changed_bodies and removed_bodies next to created_bodies, so a compact reply still shows every effect of a step. Un-ignores the #530 regression test. Fixes #530.

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 45bc22fc30 fix: faces of an extrude drawn over a face's projected edges keep an exact source (#505)
A profile traced over a face sketch's projected boundary left the extrude's caps and sides without an exact planar source, so a sketch or offset plane on the new top face was refused. The drawn curve is now the edge's source where it covers a projection. Clearer fixed-plane message; regression tests in the engine, UI harness and design corpus, plus a corpus-wide flat-face attachment check (known gaps under #491-#495).

NOWN-DEVandClaude Opus 5.5 fb4c1d74b9 feat: edge flanges with their own angle and height per edge (#447)
One edge flange feature gave all its flanges one height and one angle. A
part whose flanges lean differently took one feature per angle, and
flanges of separate features don't close toward each other, so its
corners stayed open.

- sheet.flange (edge): an entry of `edges` is a point [x, y, z] as before,
or {point, angle?, height?} whose angle and height (expressions, checked
like the feature's) replace the feature's for that edge. Bad input is
refused with the edge named. Before, the object form was read for its
point and the rest was ignored without a word.
- The feature stores its edges as FlangeEdge. An edge without values of
its own is written as the plain point it always was, so designs without
them are read and written as before; an unknown key in an edge is
  refused, not dropped.
- The edges' values are feature inputs of their own (Edge angle, Edge
height, after the feature's), so parameters, renames and
parameters.change reach them. timeline.edit names the edges again when
it changes them, so each value stays with its edge.
- SheetBody::add_flanges_each trims every edge by its own setback and
adds the flanges. The corners between them close as between equal
flanges: the closing already works from the two flanges it joins (each
one's fold and leg), so the flat pattern follows by hand from the
angles, the heights and the rule (the tests derive it).
- The Flange dialog shows a row per picked edge with an angle and a
height box (empty: the dialog's value) once more than one edge is
picked, and brings them back on Edit Feature.

deb96318a1 fix: fillet fit review follow-ups (#404)
* fix: fillet fit review follow-ups

From the review of #388 (merged before these landed):
- The Fillet dialog's Applied Radius showed nothing when editing a fillet
that was already reduced: the preview found the radius by diffing the
states before and after. The engine's preview now keeps the command
replies, and the dialog reads the radius of the feature they name.
- Pattern copies of a reduced fillet try the radius the original was
reduced to first, instead of each searching again (up to 16 fillets).
- fit: reduce with a chord or variable radius is refused instead of being
  silently ignored.
- One helper appends a note to a feature's warning; too_large is imported
like unsupported in the loop and curve blends.

c62879b00d feat: fillet fit option reduces a radius too large for its edges (#388)
* feat(kernel): typed TooLarge refusal and fillet_max search

Blend refusals caused only by the size (larger than the neighbouring faces,
taller than the walls, longer than the next edge, larger than a corner
radius) now return KernelError::TooLarge, displayed as before. fillet_max
finds the largest radius below a request at which the fillet of the edges
works, to three significant digits, by building candidates; it is an explicit
call (up to 16 fillets), not run on every refusal.

A corner edge that doesn't run square to the edge is now reported as such
instead of as a blend larger than the neighbouring faces.

* feat: fillet fit option reduces a radius too large for its edges

solid.fillet takes fit: exact (the default, as before: a radius too large
for the geometry around the edges is refused) or reduce: the radius is
reduced to the largest that works for all the picked edges (kernel
fillet_max, three significant digits, every candidate built). The feature
stores the requested radius, so it refits on every evaluation; when it
reduces, the feature's warning says so and the command returns
radius_applied. Pattern copies of the fillet use the same rule. The file
format writes fit only when it is reduce.

The Fillet dialog gets a Radius Fit row (Exact / Reduce to Fit, constant
radius) and, when the preview reduced the radius, an Applied Radius line;
editing the feature keeps the choice.

One radius for all edges for now; per-edge radii and taper follow.

59fabc16ac Reject ambiguous origin and construction plane names (#247)
* Reject ambiguous origin and construction plane names

* Reserve origin plane names for construction planes; suggest the other alias

A construction plane can no longer be created with or renamed to XY, XZ, YZ, Top, Front or
Right, so a plane argument can't become ambiguous in new designs. For older designs that
already hold such a plane, the ambiguity error now also names the origin plane's other
alias (XY for Top...). The existing tests build those legacy names directly.

lucas-aguilar89andClaude Opus 5.5 cab698bf12 Offset Plane from a planar body face (#167)
construct.plane.offset now takes a planar face as its base
({"face": [x,y,z], body?, index?, path?}), captured with the same exact
face attachment a sketch on that face uses. The Offset Plane dialog accepts
planar faces as well as origin and construction planes.

A construction plane on a face is resolved through its face anchor when the
timeline is evaluated, so it follows the face when upstream features change
(and after reopening), instead of keeping the plane as it was when picked.

Tests: engine (top and side faces, follows a box resize, survives reopen,
hostile picks are refused without adding a feature) and a UI scenario that
picks a face in the dialog and builds a pad on the new plane.

kernel::fillet_variable_points(body, edge, start, [(position, radius)...], smooth): the radius law is a B-spline of the edge parameter (straight pieces, or C1 cubic pieces with Catmull-Rom slopes), and since every section's arc is affine in its radius the blend is exactly a rational B-spline (degree 2 across, the law's degree along) with B-spline contact curves on the faces. The largest radius along the edge decides whether the blend fits. Fillet type variable takes mid: [[position, radius expr], ...] and smooth; middle radii are parameters of the feature (Mid radius) and follow user parameters. Tests: straight pieces against (1 - pi/4) L (a^2 + ab + b^2) / 3 per piece, smooth against the integrated law, either end as start, refusals; engine test with a parameter-driven middle radius.

References (doc::construct::GeoRef) keep picked faces and edges by persistent name and resolve on each evaluation (they follow the model); results live in ModelState.construct, in the component's frame; view::construction_axes/points/planes for the viewport; kernel::face_surface for a face's analytic surface

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 68271137a5 Split Face (FusionSplitFaceCommand): a timeline feature dividing the picked faces where a plane, another body's face (its surface extended) or a sketch's curves meet them, through kernel::split_faces; the solid is unchanged and the pieces take the face's name with #k. Rebase fixes: duplicate Chamfer and Combine specs; the Delete selection's face test expects Delete Face's refusal

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 3db6119cc6 Delete Face (face.delete, and faces in the Delete selection): a timeline feature that removes faces and heals the gap from the neighbouring planes through kernel::delete_faces; a picked face brings the rest of its surface (both halves of a hole's wall); face picks are stored by persistent name; a face its neighbours can't close is refused with the kernel's reason

bherbruckandClaude Opus 5.5 141a5fea8a Modelled threads (Thread with modeled: true): the ISO 68-1 profile cut along a helix, M3 to M20, on shafts and in bores; running out past a free end of the face, stopping square at a set length. The groove is a watertight screw-sweep mesh (kernel::sweep_helix_mesh) cut by kernel::faceted_boolean (BSP on the faceted body, tolerance ladder checked by A−B + A∩B = A); the polygon rebuild welds vertices across grid cells, splits pinched loops, finds T-junctions through a grid, and takes the group's plane for a loop a hair off flat
