freeform.rs

Exact profiles for splines of any degree (a degree-4…7 Bézier segment kind, Seg2::Bezier, extruded as B-spline edges) and for free-form curves cut by crossings (exact sub-curves whose ends are moved to the true crossing, found by Newton; polylines only where that fails)

fuzz.rs

Robustness runs and the kernel fixes they found

2026-10-10 00:04:37 +00:00

heal.rs

A panic while healing a boolean result no longer ends the boolean: a shallow, wide loft cut from a top face (556.68 x 99 down 4 mm to 80 x 80 in a 900 x 480 x 160 slab) failed with "called Option::unwrap() on a None value"

2026-10-10 17:57:34 -04:00

helix.rs

Modelled threads (Thread with modeled: true): the ISO 68-1 profile cut along a helix, M3 to M20, on shafts and in bores; running out past a free end of the face, stopping square at a set length. The groove is a watertight screw-sweep mesh (kernel::sweep_helix_mesh) cut by kernel::faceted_boolean (BSP on the faceted body, tolerance ladder checked by A−B + A∩B = A); the polygon rebuild welds vertices across grid cells, splits pinched loops, finds T-junctions through a grid, and takes the group's plane for a loop a hair off flat

2026-10-11 10:55:55 -04:00

lip.rs

Lips on rounded, shelled rims: the band along the rim's edge is raised from the body's own faces (kernel::raise_band: the rim face split along the band's exact offset edge, the band's walls swept up from the walls below, a top), since a join can't merge walls that continue each other; grooves cut with a band reaching into the free side so no wall coincides; tests against the band's area times its height

loopblend.rs

Join chamfers across unequal sloped rim walls

2026-10-11 01:37:06 +02:00

measure.rs

Measure: split triangles that cut through curved faces onto the surface (trimmed faces after booleans were measured up to 15% off; 61's keyway volume now matches); oracle step check shows the original volume

meshbody.rs

feat: preserve body history and placed modelling workflows

2026-10-11 03:59:12 -04:00

offset.rs

fix: shell bodies where four or more planar faces meet at a corner (a floor falling to a drain from the trough edges) by splitting such corners into several joined by short edges instead of refusing because the moved planes miss a common point

2026-10-11 09:06:25 -04:00

polyhedron.rs

Shell of rounded parts (the first tutorial): a round thinner than the shell collapses to a sharp inner edge (as in Fusion) instead of failing; when an open face's tangent round can't follow it out, every face moves in and the opening is the open face's copy swept out through the body; spindle tori (a bottom round running round a rounded corner) are taken by the offset; shells after a drilled hole; engine tests against the analytic volumes (box with rounded vertical edges and bottom loop, the tutorial plate at 2 mm and 1.5 mm)

2026-10-11 02:44:31 -04:00

surface_kind.rs

Construction axes, points and planes from model geometry (SOLID ▸ CONSTRUCT): axes through a cylinder/cone/torus, perpendicular to a face at a point, through two planes, two points or an edge; points at a vertex, through two edges, three planes, at the centre of a circle/sphere/torus, at an edge and a plane, along a path; midplane, planes through two edges or three points, tangent to a face, along a path. References (doc::construct::GeoRef) keep picked faces and edges by persistent name and resolve on each evaluation (they follow the model); results live in ModelState.construct, in the component's frame; view::construction_axes/points/planes for the viewport; kernel::face_surface for a face's analytic surface

2026-10-08 09:42:34 +00:00

Merge origin/main into fix/flush-pad-over-hole (keeps both round_pads_crossing_a_shallow_fall from #119 and drain_pads_flush_under_a_floor_with_a_hole, which now also checks a boss ring standing on the 1° top around the hole)

2026-10-11 15:01:29 +02:00

topo.rs

Measuring bodies of thousands of faces: 13 s to 0.8 s for 5000 faces (the body's size was recomputed for every face); merged topology counts right on finely faceted bodies (vertices welded only when they coincide, planes merged only when parallel within 1e-9), with a test
