new src/scene/block_service.rs (references, delete, rename, purge candidates, name validation, one error type and message). The command-line RENAME, palette Remove, plugin API, control/MCP block_delete and PURGE all use it. Layout, xref, dynamic-block, anonymous and open-in-editor records are protected; PURGE removes an anonymous block only when nothing references it. PROTOCOL CHANGE: control/MCP block_delete refuses a referenced block unless force=true (erases referencing INSERTs in one undo step). New REST route DELETE /api/v1/blocks/{name}?force=true. MCP tool digest re-pinned. Undo labels are Delete block X, Rename block X to Y and Purge.
world = insert_point + Rot * Scale * (P - base_point). Attribute placement, EXPLODE, XCLIP storage, REFEDIT's working copy, the UCS reframe of attributes and the dynamic-block visibility grip ignored the base point and were offset by Rot*Scale*base. They now share insert_transform_with_base. Creation stores a ZERO base and redefine resets it; a no-op redefine moves nothing; the Block Definition dialog prefills the base from the definition. XCLIP filters stored by older builds keep their old displacement.
EXPORTSVG left the plot dialog's SVG device on, so a later EXPORTPDF still
offered a .svg file. The SVG save dialog and plot button texts had no
catalog entries.

Resolve conflicts from main's rustfmt pass by taking main's versions of
command.rs, style.rs, view/mod.rs, scene/mod.rs, ui/window/mod.rs and
ui/properties.rs and re-applying this branch's Graphic Attributes changes.
Add the Graphic Attributes strings to the new lo-LA catalog.

Resolved conflicts:
- app/update/mod.rs: keep the dock's dock_open_at_default for the XREF
manager; take main's stable xref row identity (row_index(&id)).
- app/view/mod.rs: keep the edge layout from app::dock; drop main's copy
of the old edge-stack code (main only reformatted it there).
- ui/window/layers.rs: keep main's new visible_indices next to the
branch's view_panel.
Files the branch only reformatted take main's version. Adds the Lao
(lo-LA) translations for the new dock texts.

A focused text field reports Status::Captured, so the key dispatch
dropped SPACE and a CUI rebind of SPACE to FINALIZE never ran while the
command line held focus (#1710). Dispatch a captured SPACE as a shortcut
only when SPACE is bound to something other than COMMANDSPACE, so the
default binding still types a space. The closure stays a plain fn, so a
static flag mirrors the binding and is refreshed wherever the bindings
change.
Allow users to temporarily override object snaps during active point prompts by typing at least the first 3 letters of any snap mode (e.g. MID, END, CEN, PER, NON). The override activates for the next point pick only and automatically restores running snaps once consumed or cancelled.
- LAYERS ribbon button runs a command that opens the Layer Manager pallet;
the ribbon no longer keeps it highlighted.
- Layer Manager: search box stays right-aligned, the column header fills
the row, no stray contour lines when the pallet is taller than its rows.
- Auto-hidden edges don't show the shown-group accent bar.
- Auto-hide reveal and hide wait 150 ms of rest, so passing over the
strip doesn't flash groups open.

Fixes:
- Hover state no longer drops when the pointer moves up from one strip
icon, group grip or title bar to the one above: iced handles the
element above first, so the old element's "left" (None) cleared the
hover just set. Leave messages now carry the element and only clear
their own hover.
- The drop preview used the pallets' own widths; it now uses the
group's width, matching where the pallet lands.
- Group indexes from messages (group grab, splitter) are looked up
safely, so a message from before a layout change no longer panics.
- Floating placements read from the config are healed (finite, positive,
at least the minimum size), like the group weights already were.
- The shown group's edge bar is centred in its row: a stack takes its
height from its first layer, and the icon column was shorter than the
row. The "Drag to move group" tooltip is removed.
Simplifications (no behaviour change):
- dock_open_at_default / dock_unpeek replace seven copies of "dock on
the right if unplaced, then reveal" and four of "stop peeking".
- The drop target takes the grab offset as a parameter, so a drag
update stores its state once.
- dock_set_open, ensure_settings, the shown-index bookkeeping after a
group is removed and the on-screen width clamp each lose duplication.
- VBarLabel drops options its single caller never varied.
- The drop preview's landing computation is one helper.
Naming and consistency: pallet names in the + menu, the drag ghost and
the floating title bar go through t!(); StripHit::Tab becomes
StripHit::Join; stale comments updated.

No intended behaviour change except the fixes noted below.
- One drag state: a single `DockDrag` (move pallet / group, width,
splitter, floating size, Layer Manager column) replaces nine fields
(dragging, dragging group, resizing, split, float resizing, origin,
target, grab offset, layer column flag) that had to be kept in sync.
- `dock_expanded` becomes `dock_peek` with one meaning: a pallet revealed
although it auto-hides. `dock_reveal(id)` shows a pallet's group and
peeks it; commands that open a pallet now use it, so opening a pallet
also switches its edge to that pallet's group.
- Each group stores its own width (falling back to its widest pallet's
width until first sized), instead of every pallet's width being kept in
sync. Pallet widths now only size floating pallets and new groups.
- One `dock_set_open(id, open)` holds every pallet's open and close path.
- Leftovers removed: the tab-group config format that never reached main,
the multi-tab drag ghost header, the separate icon-hover message.
Fixes:
- Hovering a strip icon reveals an auto-hiding edge again (the icons had
lost the hover message in the option B strip). Covered by a test that
moves the pointer over the icon in the real view.

rename_style_storage and rename_symbol rewrote entities and table rows but left dimtxsty stale, so the next Apply resolved a NULL handle. The follow now lives in both shared functions; the plugin workaround is removed as redundant. Tests: text_rename_follows_dimtxsty drives the manager path (RED first); pre-existing plugin rename test stays green via the shared path. Full suite: 2015 passed / 0 failed / 25 ignored.
A new drawing carries the visual styles the reference's new drawing has

An orthographic preset sets its orthographic UCS while UCSORTHO is on
(*FRONT*, *RIGHT*, …; TOP returns to the world UCS); presets no longer
flip to the opposite view when repeated. -VIEW runs as its own command:
Window asks for the name and corners, sEttings loops over Background,
Categorize, Layer snapshot, live Section, Ucs and Visual style with the
reference prompts and messages, Save keeps the UCS with the view while
UCSVIEW is on and Restore brings it back. UCSORTHO and UCSVIEW are
profile variables.

- Pins: codec 8189f83, kernel a82f17d, graph d3558bb (all manifests and
the python plugin lock).
- MASSPROP reports volume, centroid, inertia, products, radii of
gyration and principal moments of 3D solids and bodies from their
B-rep (exact where analytic, else from a fine mesh).
- OFFSET of ellipses and splines through the kernel's curve offset.
- FILLET between circles, ellipses and splines through the kernel's
curve-curve fillet, trimming arcs and open splines to the tangents.
The kernel bump brings the DWG ACIS audit fixes: slices, booleans and
press/pull on cones, slanted cylinder sections, survey coordinates,
spline walls and touching parts.

Panels can now float over the workspace, share a docked slot as tabs,
and split an edge at heights the user picks.
- Dropping a panel away from the edges floats it at the pointer. Floating
panels move by their title bar, resize from a corner grip, and come to
the front when clicked.
- Dropping in the top or bottom quarter of a docked slot docks the panel
above or below it, as before. Dropping in the middle adds the panel as
a tab of that slot. Pressing a tab shows that panel; dragging a tab
pulls the panel out again.
- While dragging, a blue ghost previews the result: the new slot, the
slot with its future tab row, or the floating window.
- A splitter between stacked slots sets their heights; double-click it
to make the slots equal again. Heights persist.
- A press only becomes a drag after 5 px of movement, so clicking a title
bar or tab never moves the panel.
The persisted layout now stores each edge as tab groups with a height
weight, plus a list of floating panels. Configs with the old
bare-panel-id stacks still load as single-panel slots.

-VIEW asks "Enter an option [?/Delete/Orthographic/Restore/Save/sEttings/

FRONT, BACK, LEFT, RIGHT, SWISO, SEISO, NEISO, NWISO, also with a leading
underscore) directly, Orthographic asking for the face with <Top> as the
default. Keyword prompts accept a leading underscore on their keywords.

- refresh_associative_sweeps runs on every edit and scanned the xdata of
every entity; it now returns at once when no associative swept surface
exists (its application is not registered) and looks at surfaces only.
- An arc's end angle was raised by TAU in a loop, which never ends on a
huge angle from a damaged file; the sweep is taken with rem_euclid.
- The sweep DELOBJ test expected surface sweeps to delete their sources,
which #1663 changed on purpose: an associative surface keeps them.
- codec c9ffcac (opencadcodec #103) adds an explicit viewport-off bit: the
viewport on state is read with is_on() and set with turn_on()/turn_off()
everywhere, so a viewport the file marks off shows off and can be turned
back on from Properties.

PURGE repeats until a pass removes nothing. A drawing whose complex
linetypes use shape files carries unnamed STYLE records for them; the
table holds those under keys the empty name does not reach, so every pass
listed them again and removed nothing, and the loop never ended.
- Unnamed and shape-file styles, and styles a complex linetype reaches by
handle, are never listed for purging.
- In-use checks compare names case-insensitively, as the tables do, so a
layer, style or linetype referenced as WALL is not purged as Wall.
- Counts are what the tables actually removed, and a pass that removes
nothing ends the loop.

Swept surfaces made with SURFACEASSOCIATIVITY on keep their profile and

Conflicts were additions on both sides, kept together: the Count palette
and Sheet Set toggles next to the Graphic Attributes toggle in the ribbon,
main's new locale groups and catalog entries next to graphic-attributes,
and module declarations. The palette code follows main's crate renames
(acadrust -> codec, cadkernel -> kernel).

The refused-path message split its format string across a raw line
break; it uses \n. The reference-length and new-length prompts SWEEP no
longer shows leave the catalog and all 21 locales. Lines past the width
limit in the UPDATEFIELD and automation select changes are wrapped.

- Scale and Twist take an Expression evaluated with the drawing's
parameters; invalid input prints the reference message and asks again.
- The scale and twist prompts use the reference wording and defaults.
- The SWEEP prompts and refusal messages are in the locale catalog with

3DROTATE (ROTATE3D) took the drawing's rotation path, so a polyline only
turned in its own plane. It now asks for a base point, an axis — X, Y, Z
or a second point — and an angle, and rotates the selection about that
axis in space.

SelectionState now holds view, gesture, input, menu and orbit sub-structs; all 450 access sites updated mechanically with no behavior change. Deletes three write-only dead fields (box_last, box_last_crossing, poly_last_crossing). Hand-rolled clears in commands and dim_viewport route through the new clear methods; bench fixture updated. Full suite: 1976 passed / 0 failed / 25 ignored.
The two per-frame ViewCube blocks rebuilt the named-UCS name list (N String clones plus a Vec) every frame; now Scene::cached_ucs_names memoises it behind ucs_epoch and the picker takes the Arc, so frames cost a refcount bump. Bumped on UCS SAVE, UCS DELETE, RENAME UCS, record-API ucss patch, file-open, and undo Full-swap. Tests: cached_ucs_names_returns_same_arc_until_bump pins the hit path; cached_ucs_names_invalidated_by_bump pins rebuild with new content. Full suite: 1976 passed / 0 failed / 25 ignored.
- UPDATEFIELD stays the command main already had (Select objects, undo,
locale strings); it now takes the PR's reach — a block reference's
attributes and block definition, a table's cell texts — and reports
the fields that really changed. The PR's second implementation and its
duplicate registration are gone.
- FIELDEVAL's range error goes through the locale catalog.
- Field boxes: no slicing inside a character, one layout per multi-line
attribute, and TEXT boxes scale about the annotative reference point
like the glyphs do. Comment and indentation put back where they belong.
- bump_text_hosts classifies every host in one pass over the drawing
instead of scanning all layouts and blocks per host.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
- A blank script line outside a command repeats the last command through
dispatch_command, as the command line's empty Enter does.
- ZOOMFACTOR bound docs describe the SETVAR range the PR widened, and the
test keeps checking the value the Options field reaches.
