Opening a drawing no longer drops entities with its own sanity checks or
rewrites knotless splines; recovery runs the codec's repair and records
its actions and unresolved issues in the drawing's notifications. Xref
merges keep every entity. The dropped-entity counts, their command-line
warnings, recovery report rows and the automation "purged" field go with
the guard.
AUDIT now reports the codec's audit (counts plus the first 50 issues) and
asks whether to fix; Yes applies the codec repair as one undo step.
Cargo: codec 325fa98, kernel dfca391, graph 5d4e713.

The layout tab's right-click menu gains New Layout, Copy, Page Setup
and Plot beside Rename and Delete. Copy makes "<name> (2)" with the
source's page setup, sheet view and every paper-space object,
viewports included, and opens it.

Options > Selection gains "Selection highlight opacity" and "Selection
highlight extra width". Below full opacity the object's own colour
shows through the highlight. The selection overlay draws with its own
copy of the frame uniforms: transparency on, and every line widened by
the extra width. Drawings opened at startup now get the selection
colour settings too; they used to keep the defaults until a setting
changed.

Drafting Settings > Snap and Grid gains "Display grid axis lines",
kept with the other grid settings; the grid itself stays as it is.

Adds PDFSHXTEXT with the PDF Text Recognition Settings dialog, its
command-line form, the PDFSHXLAYER / PDFSHXBESTFONT / PDFSHXTEXTSETTINGS
variables and the profile settings they are kept in.

The DGN V7/V8 readers expose each element (level, symbology, geometry,
complex chains, text nodes, shared cells). DGNIMPORT / -DGNIMPORT convert a
model with the Standard mapping into a new drawing; IMPORT opens the
Import File window and routes PDF and DGN files to their importers.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
TEXT and MTEXT objects are merged into one MTEXT (top-down or in
selection order, word-wrapped or one paragraph per object, with the
original pitch kept as line spacing) or each TEXT and MTEXT line becomes
an MTEXT of its own. The SEttings option opens the Combine Text settings
dialog; the settings persist as profile values and are exposed as the
TXT2MTXT* variables and the txt2mtxt_settings automation action.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
Import File split button (PDF Import / DGN Import / Import), Recognize
SHX Text, Recognition Settings and Combine Text; Land XML moves to the
panel slide-out and Open leaves the panel. Ribbon commands may be menu
macros (`;` answers the running command's prompt). KeyTips IF, PI, DI,
OI, PS, PT, TM; labels in every locale.

MEASUREGEOM gains a Quick option. As the cursor moves, the nearest
drawn geometry along the working plane's X and Y lines through it is
measured live: cyan measurement lines and a Horizontal/Vertical readout
by the cursor. A click prints the current readout and keeps measuring;
Enter ends the command. The rays go through the scene's interaction
index, so large drawings stay responsive.
A structure-pick command whose miss message is empty now gets the click
as a plain point instead of an error.

With dynamic UCS on (UCSDETECT 1, toggled with F6), a command's first
point picked on a planar face of a solid sets the UCS to that face for
the rest of the command, so 2D commands draw on the face (#1711). An
unsnapped first point lands on the face itself; a snapped point off the
face's plane belongs to other geometry and leaves the UCS alone. The
previous UCS comes back when the command ends. UCS commands themselves
are left out.

Options → User Preferences → Navigation style picks which mouse
gestures pan and orbit the model view (#1480):
- CAD (default): middle button pans, Shift + middle button orbits.
- Blender: middle button orbits, Shift + middle button pans.
- CATIA: middle button pans; pressing the left button during it orbits,
so 3D navigation needs only the mouse.
An armed orbit tool always orbits. The choice is saved with the user
settings.

BATTMAN and ATTMAN open a manager for the attribute definitions of one
attributed block: block chips with reference counts and a pick button,
a table whose columns are chosen with chips, move up/down, remove, and
an edit card (Attribute / Text / Properties) for the selected row. Apply,
OK and Sync write the list back to the block definition and, when asked,
rebuild the existing references keeping values through tag renames;
each is one undo step. Live changes are taken back on Cancel. Automation
gains attman_dialog.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
The name card draws the selected objects, or the existing definition the
name picks. OK with no objects shows an in-window band offering to select
objects or to define an empty block. A switch opens the new block in the
block editor once it is defined; it is remembered with the other dialog
choices. Automation gains block_def_dialog.

A browser tab gets a few GB of memory at most, so a drawing of a few
hundred MB can fail to open there while the desktop app opens it
(#918). When an open over 150 MB fails in the browser, the command line
now says so and recommends the desktop app.

- block-def strings in every locale (English until translated); the
catalog test requires each locale to carry them.
- A new block's base point starts at 0, and ATTMAN / BATTMAN report a
drawing without attributed blocks; the tests expect that now.
- Lines over 100 columns wrapped.

Options > Files lists the color book folder as a read-only row with Open
folder, like Plot styles or Fonts. The Add folder / Remove buttons, their
messages and the explanatory line (in all 22 locales) are gone; the
folder list stays in the settings for a later location option.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_013rGmDUNr1hUf4zo1X3dak8
- Colour books now come from folders, like AutoCAD's Color Book
Locations: Options > Files lists them (add, open, remove); by default
one color_books folder in the config directory. The Color Books tab
shows the built-in books plus every .acb in those folders; Load copies
the chosen file into the first folder. Web: session only, as before.
- Grid/list buttons use the app's toggle style (light accent, its text
colour for the icon, same corners as inactive).
- Color Books: the load button sits right of the book list; the search
box keeps its start over the page strip and runs to the end.
- Translations for the two new Options strings in all 22 locales.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_013rGmDUNr1hUf4zo1X3dak8
- Info line shows a colour-book colour as "BOOK - NAME".
- Document tab: a search box (by name) replaces the "Colors in this
drawing" heading; grid swatches no longer carry text; larger grid/list
icons, dark on the accent colour when active, like the OK button.
- Color books tab: no "Color book"/"Find" labels; the book list is as
wide as the colour bars, and the search box (magnifier, gray "Search")
and load button sit over the page strip and RGB values, all 28 px high;
the load button and page arrows use the button's dark text colour.

-BLOCK, -WBLOCK, -BEDIT, ATTSYNC, BASE and INSBASE follow the reference
prompts and messages; empty blocks; WBLOCK keeps object coordinates and
stores INSBASE; annotative and hyperlink data on the block record; block
preview images; remembered dialog choices; block aliases.

- True Color opens in RGB; the gradient field, hex and nearest index sit
at the bottom so CMYK's fourth slider doesn't move them; slider rows
closer together.
- Document tab: grid or list view (list drawn like the colour-book bars),
and Name A–Z / Z–A sorting (translated in all locales). Swatches of
colour-book colours show the colour's name.
- A colour-book colour picked as the current colour (nothing selected)
keeps its BOOK$NAME on the objects drawn with it.

The count line now uses the objects the selection step itself picked
(a click, a window or crossing, a lasso, a fence, Last / Previous /
All): "N found (D duplicate), M total" when some were chosen already,
"N found, R removed, M total" in remove mode, "N found, M total" when a
removal picks objects that were not chosen.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
Every pick during object selection prints the reference's count line:
"N found" for the first pick or a pick that adds nothing, "N found,
M total" after it, "N found, N removed, M total" when objects leave the
set. It is printed before a command's own filtering, so "N were filtered
out" follows it. COUNT reports through it and the ad hoc
"object(s) found." / "object(s) added to selection." lines are gone.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
Picking nested objects reports what each pick added ("1 entity added",
"0 entities added" for an object already in the set), a pick on empty
space starts a window ("Specify opposite corner:"; a window dragged to
the right takes the objects inside it, to the left those it touches),
and a typed point picks the object it lies on. From the Reference Edit
dialog the item count is printed when the session opens, followed by
"Use REFCLOSE or the Refedit toolbar to end reference editing session."

#1776 left its dialog in English outside tr-TR and added the
image_adjust automation action without re-pinning the MCP tool schema
digest, which failed tool_schema_digest_is_pinned.

A lone Alt shows a code on every ribbon tab and quick-access button.
Typing a tab code opens the tab and shows the codes of its buttons,
dropdowns, slide-outs and collapsed panels; a button code runs it, a
dropdown or slide-out code opens it and shows its item codes, Esc goes
back one level. Codes follow the reference ribbon; buttons without a
reference counterpart get none and unnamed menu items are numbered.
Codes are drawn as accent pills over the widgets that reported their
bounds in the current frame, with a hint bar under the ribbon. While
the tips are open keys go to them only. The automation gets a keytips
action and read operation.

Translate the 159 Sheet Set Manager strings still in English, using the
terms already in the file: Conjunto de planos, plano, Presentación,
espacio modelo / papel. Variables, NEWSHEETSET and file masks are untouched.
The right-edge toolbar of a REFEDIT session now shows the definition
being edited (REFEDITNAME) as an accent pill with the number of objects
in the working set, Add to / Remove from Working Set buttons with their
own icons (REFSET Add / Remove, straight to object selection), and
Save / Discard in a separate group below a rule.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <[email protected]>
REFEDIT opens a dialog after the pick: the nesting chain as chips with a
preview of the chosen definition, all objects or picking them in the
drawing, attribute definitions (offered only when the definition has
them), locking objects outside the working set and unique names for an
external reference's named objects. The settings are remembered.
With unique names an xref's dependent layers, linetypes, text styles and
blocks are checked out as $N$NAME records of their own; without, under
the plain name, sharing a host record of that name. Save writes them back
under the reference's names, and the records made for the session are
removed when it closes. -REFEDIT uses the remembered settings.

IMAGEADJUST (alias IAD) takes the selected raster images or asks
"Select image(s):", then opens a dialog with a before/after preview of
the first image and brightness, contrast and fade rows (bar plus
stepper, whole numbers 0-100). Apply writes the values to every chosen
image as one undo step; restore defaults sets 50/50/0. Adds the
image_adjust automation action and the image-adjust locale group.

In the Block Editor, BVSTATE makes a new visibility state, makes one
current, renames or deletes one; BVHIDE and BVSHOW hide or show the
picked objects in the current state (BVSHOW shows every object of the
block while they are picked). The first use makes the block dynamic.
The states are stored as the format keeps them: a
BLOCKVISIBILITYPARAMETER in the block's ACAD_ENHANCEDBLOCK evaluation
graph with its visibility grip and the grip's two location expressions,
the round-trip purge preventer, AcDbDynamicBlockTrueName /
AcDbDynamicBlockGUID / AcDbBlockRepETag on the definition and element
tags on each of its objects. The definition shows its first state; a
reference given another state gets its own evaluated *U copy, tagged
AcDbBlockRepBTag and linked back through AcDbBlockRepresentation /
AcDbRepData, so it shows that state and the other references do not
change. Saving the block drops erased objects from the states.
Checked: a block authored this way reads back with its states and
reference link from DWG and DXF, and the ODA converter accepts the DWG.
