docs: examples gallery as an even grid

A Markdown table sizes its columns by the captions, so the pictures came out
at different sizes; an HTML table with a third of the width per cell keeps
them even. The crank-arm picture is scaled to 1400x860 like the others, and
flow-past (no picture yet) moves to the end.
