The dihedral range and mesh.quality's scaled Jacobian were both right:
they are computed by the same function on the same final corners (tet4
and tet10 give identical numbers), but a dihedral range does not bound
the corner scaled Jacobian. A needle has dihedral angles near 60 and 90
degrees and a nearly flat apex corner. Before 417c0c88 sphere-on-plate
at size 4 had dihedrals 36.3-141.6 and 106 needles below SJ 0.2 (min
0.095); now 36.0-137.6 and min SJ 0.351.
The mesher's report now carries min_scaled_jacobian so it cannot read
as all-good while needles remain.

The improvement objective was the smallest dihedral sine, which misses
needles: every dihedral angle fine while a corner is nearly flat, so
the corpus meshes had scaled Jacobians down to 0.01-0.07. The objective
is now the smaller of the dihedral sine and the scaled Jacobian at the
worst corner (the measure analysts check, Knupp 2001), weighted so a
Jacobian of 0.3 (the skill's limit) counts as a 30 degree dihedral
angle (the schedule's target): the Jacobian decides only near that
limit. The existing edge removal, multi-face removal, smoothing and
insertion then remove the needles.
Skill tet10 min SJ: sphere-on-plate 0.092 -> 0.335, filleted-bracket
0.021 -> 0.318 (both pass, nothing marked). Default-size tet10:
thin-ribs 0.240, shallow-groove 0.321, rounded-box 0.311.
The strong-relaxation test relaxes below 0.45: nothing is left below
0.3. Literature note in docs/meshing/literature.md.

Deleting a cap tetrahedron (two boundary faces of one B-rep face) gives each of its
two other neighbours a boundary face; a neighbour that had three was left with every
face on the boundary, joined to the mesh by its vertices alone. On Linux the dome on
a plate (cmd::plan::decompose::tests::a_dome_on_a_plate...) got one and the static
solve found the stiffness singular. The kernel's tessellation and sphere parameters
differ in their last bits between macOS and Linux (SolidCraft, outside this repo);
given the same input the tet mesher gives the same mesh on both (checked by replaying
Linux's surface and spheres on macOS, which reproduced the floating tetrahedron).
The deletion now refuses when a neighbour would float, and the linear validity gate
fails a mesh with a tetrahedron that shares no face with the rest, saying so.

SolidCraft lists a solid's faces in a different order from run to run
(the rounded box, for one), which reordered the triangle soup and the
face tags with every coordinate the same; welding keeps the first copy
it meets and every later stage visits ids in order, so the tet mesh
changed between runs. CanonicalSoup sorts the triangles by their
coordinates, numbers vertices by first use and face tags by first
appearance, and maps the tags back; mesh.tet.generate and the corpus
use it.
Tests: the washer's tet10 mesh has a fixed fingerprint (identical on
arm64 and x86-64 builds); a reordered, renumbered input gives the same
mesh; heavy: rounded-box and filleted-bracket mesh bit for bit the same
on repeated runs and with 1 and 8 threads.
The bracket oracle cases stay unfrozen: SolidCraft's tessellation
itself differs in the last bits between arm64 and x86-64. The coarse
case moves to 203.6 MPa with the canonical order; its band is 5%.

The platform maths libraries' atan2 and cbrt differ in the last bits
between macOS and glibc, so the dihedral angles and the shape measure a
mesh reports did too. The crate's own versions use + - * / and sqrt
only (correctly rounded everywhere) and agree with the platform's to a
few ulps.

A merged face on several surfaces (a sliver absorbed into its neighbour)
had no exact surface, so the projection target fell back to its
triangles: flat curvature probes gave fewer divisions round the boss and
the enclosure base's symmetric mesh dropped from 0.70 to 0.51 once its
absorbs reached the cells. The target now projects a point of such a
face onto the exact surface of the B-rep piece it is on, trimmed to that
piece (Tessellation::with_pieces, Shape::tessellate_pieces); node
relaxation slides on it the same way.
Test from commands: the enclosure base's four slivers absorbed, meshed
whole and by symmetry, the absorbs kept in every cell.

transition::pyramid_surface puts a pyramid on every hex interface quad and
builds the tet region's surface closed by the pyramid sides, re-stitching the
neighbouring faces to the hex rim nodes. QualityOptions::frozen_faces keeps
those sides exactly (TetComplex refuses changes that remove or add a frozen
face; their vertices are corners), and apex_points checks the result.

project_trimmed accepted the exact surface's point up to a fifth of the
nearest triangle's median edge off the face: on a tall fillet piece
(triangles 30 mm long) that let a point on a sibling piece of the same
cylinder count as on it, so every quad round the corner took the first
piece's name. The slack is now the triangle's own chordal gap to the
surface, doubled.
A face narrower than the elements (the sliver a corner boss leaves of the
inner fillet) gets one row of the quads it runs through, from the
neighbour with the most quads left. Tessellation::nearest_face finds the
face nearest a point.

Projecting a point onto one B-rep face searched one box tree over every triangle of the
boundary, skipping the other faces' triangles: when other faces lie nearer the point than the
target face, it walked most of the tree before reaching a triangle it could use. Smoothing a
projected mesh projects every boundary node many times, onto every face of its target group,
so the Pi 5 enclosure base spent 95 % of its 11 minutes there. Each face (and each face pair's
curve) now has a tree of its own: the same nearest triangle, found among its own boxes only.
Ties between triangles at the same distance went to whichever the tree's walk met first; they
now go to the lowest triangle, so the result no longer depends on how a tree is built. With
that rule the per-face trees and the whole-boundary tree give bitwise the same mesh.

project_trimmed accepted the analytic projection within a fifth of the nearest
triangle's size; a plane face's triangles can span the whole face, so nodes in a
3 mm fillet landed on the untrimmed box planes (mesh volume = the unfilleted box).

A block topology (carved grid, butterfly and seven-block sphere templates,
O-grid, extrude, connect) projected onto a body: outer block faces onto their
smooth face groups, edges onto the curve of two targets and vertices onto the
point of three by tangent-plane iteration, nodes by transfinite interpolation,
then Winslow smoothing with the boundary on the geometry and a compass search
on the worst elements.

fieldcraft_model::progress: a host installs a Progress on the worker thread
and reads its snapshot from another; the engine names the step being solved,
the nonlinear solver its load factor, the explicit solver its time, the
fluid solver its steps, transient heat its increments and the tet mesher its
stage and pass. Without one installed every report is a no-op (#322, #357).

Delaunay refinement split a boundary face edge at its midpoint even when that
midpoint lay inside the diametral sphere of a feature edge beside it. Each such
split halves the face vertices' distance to the curve, so they piled up against
it (the heated bracket grew face vertices 0.016 mm from a 4 mm-sized edge), the
improvement schedule could not lift the tetrahedra there to its target, and
inserted vertex after vertex around them: 29257 elements and about two minutes
to open instead of 23641 and 6 s. The SolidCraft pin move (4c91f9b) added one
interior vertex to the bracket's end faces, which changed the CDT enough to
expose it.
Following Shewchuk (1998), an encroaching midpoint now splits the encroached
feature edge instead.

The seed's spacing becomes size-field samples the field grades from, and
after coarsening its nodes are put on the feature curve and pinned, so the
edge has exactly the seeded divisions at the seeded spacing. The quality
report gives, per seed, the boundary edges along it.

The end-to-end demo met a raw-CDT sliver that the validity gate accepted (exactly positive) and
the solver refused. Now:
- One validity criterion, `fieldcraft_model::admissible_jacobian` (normalized Jacobian above
1e-12), used by the implicit solver (fem `positive_inverse`), the explicit tet4/hex8
kinematics and the mesh gate, which proves it on the whole element (tet4: the solvers' own
Jacobian; curved kinds: a Bernstein floor), so whatever passes the gate passes the solvers.
- CDT rounding repaired by flips on the rounded mesh (Diazzi et al. 2023 §5.1) instead of the
±2-ulp nudge.
- `fieldcraft-mesh::tet`: a mutable tetrahedral complex whose every change is a checked
replacement (positive and admissible tetrahedra, faces matched with opposite orientation) with
an exact undo log; edge removal (Klincsek), multi-face removal, Delaunay insertion with
boundary faces, edge collapse; a curvature- and thickness-graded size field; constrained
Delaunay refinement with encroachment splits; ODT smoothing; the Klingner–Shewchuk schedule;
boundary vertices moved onto the exact B-rep surfaces at the end; tet10 with mid-edge nodes on
the geometry.
- `mesh.tet.generate` gains size, order, quality, quality_target, curvature_angle, grading,
max_passes, max_points and reports the CDT's and the mesh's quality; `solve.probe` takes a set
and reports its largest von Mises stress.
- Oracle cases filleted-bracket-fillet-stress(-coarse): the fillet's peak von Mises stress on
tet10 meshes of 2k and 13.5k elements, 213.3 MPa (a four-level study stays within 1.8%); the
CDT cases keep the raw tetrahedralization.
- Corpus quality columns: all 20 valid parts mesh and pass the gate.
